Exploring downtempo/chill-out for the past 2 years, I was knocked out by Boozoo Bajou's cut on this genre. Juke Joint is a terrific cross sample of their take on blues, jazz, 60's, reggae, you name it. It all flows together extremely well. Their other two CD's, Satta and Remixes, are also excellent. Satta is definitely more mellow, while Remixes is a bit more soulfull and perhaps the more upbeat of the 3. I love them all, but Juke Joint is very special, indeed. Give it a try.

Pocas veces la electróncia se ha mezclado tan finamente con otros estilos. En este álbum -que a su vez es otro Back To Mine-, Boozoo Bajou presenta un par de tracks nuevos que mantienen ese ritmo tribal, mezclado con reggae y con más R&B que en "Satta". Además, se incluyen destacadas colaboraciones de Groove Armada, John Lee Hooker y una sobresaliente pista "Ordinary Joe" que instantáneamente se transformó en mi nuevo clásico.

Un gran álbum y un buen refresco para quienes creían que la electrónica -después del bossa nova, el jazz y el tango- ya no se podía mezclar con otros estilos "humanos".
