First time using a sewing machine,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Juki HZL25Z Compact Sewing Machine & Carrying Case (Kitchen)
I received my Juki HZL-25Z as scheduled. The horizontal spool pin mount had a crack on it and the auxiliary bed/accessory box had a chip on the corner. They're easy to replace assuming that I can get replacement parts. Because I was a first time user - it took me a while to figure out how it function and which knobs/levers control what. Took me a while to load the bobbin too but it was easy after 2 tries. Tried sewing on some scrap cloth and was repairing an old winter jacket right after.
I was hoping its not made in China but given the price it would be impossible to get a Japanese made Juki. I still gave it a 5 star. It was very easy to use. I was actually very surprise that I was sewing 2 hours after opening the box. It appears to be sturdy but time will tell if they're durable. We had an old industrial heavy duty sewing machine before and it was very durable. So I am hoping that quality remains the same. For the price I could have gotten a different brand with more fancy features but I would rather pay for quality and stick with simple function machine. I am very pleased with my purchase. Will try to contact vendor if I can get replacement for the damaged parts. I highly recommend this to first time user.
