I looked for several weeks for a watch that met my criteria. I wanted at a minimum to see the time, day and date: wanted a face color that was light so that is was very easy to read while jogging or just at a glance; and wanted a stainless steel band. I preferred a digital read out as well. The issue is that most digital watches are cheap and have a plastic or leather watchband. Several according to the reviews also scratch easily because of a cheap watch lens.

This watch is a sturdy looking and feeling watch. The band is a very nice double clasp. The face is a little large but looks expensive. I think it is very fairly priced. The face color in some pictures looks very turquoise but in most light it is very slightly colored and is near white. I like the color better than a plain white and it adds to easy reading at a glance.

My only minor gripe is that the instructions are at best adequate and come in very tiny print. I had to enlarge them using my all in one home printer. Once you can read them and spend a few minutes trying them out, it is not difficult

I am very pleased with this purchase.

Reviews dated may 9 2010 and Feb 7 2011 are accurate. My watch seems to be partly broken (produces no sound, one of the buttons is hard to press, and the seconds hand does not align well with the tick marks, making it confusing to know what exact second it is), which I might be able to get fixed under warranty, but I'm surprised that the watch has no illumination for the digital portion (the phosphor for the analog portion is adequate). The so called countdown timer is of a very strange design, made to count down to a date, with no way to specify a time. My watch also arrived with dead batteries, which I understand is accepted practice, but still a tad annoying, and finally, the nice wooden case showed sings of breakage and attempted repair.

I had a hard time finding a dual analog / digital display that I liked. I had a Casio atomic watch before that was good; but plastic joined the watch to the band and that kept breaking. This watch is all metal. I tend to be rough on watches; but this one has no signs of scratches on the face or band. I'd easily recommend this watch.
Cons:
The instructions were very hard to read (tiny print). I had to take the watch to Kohls to get the band adjusted. The digital and the analog times are independent of each other (but are staying in synch nicely.
