Jules Verne was a prolific writer. For this reason, we have decided to publish several volumes of his work, each of which shall contain several titles. This first volume contains his most famous and well-loved tales. Unfortunately, translations from the original French to modern English have, at times, removed or "simplified" certain descriptions or passages, particualarly in "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" both in Part One and its sequal, Part Two. Every effort has been made to restore the manuscripts to the original.
