Found this book at a yard sale for $1.00 and am I glad I got it. It has a wealth of classic American and some European dishes set out by menus for many occasions. Julia has a great palate and everything tastes and comes out perfectly. It is based on her two television shows "Julia Child and Company" and "JuliaChild and More Company". I use it all the time for good basic recipes like cole slaw, Indian pudding, and many other homey as well as somewhat grand dishes. You can't go wrong with anything Julia puts her name and effort to.
