It's almost a shame this is considered a junior book, because it's useful for any student or fan of architecture (or women's studies); it's very well put thought out and contains photos I had never seen.

I was interested in the person of Julia Morgan so I got this book and the one by Ginger Wadsworth. I like the Wadsworth book better. This book since it is in a series of women of achievement, makes more of a deal that Morgan is female--whereas the other book just concentrates on Morgan and her life and career. As a person who reads biographies, the Wadsworth book was more like a biography and not trying to get a point across. But it is good and has almost the same photos and gives almost all the same information. However, the name is Parmelee, not Parmalee as the author keeps stating.
