This book is my favorite among recently published costume jewelry guides. Most helpful is the way the different types of jewelry are grouped together, making it easy to remember--stones, types of settings, designs and styles. It opened my eyes to a lot of Delizza & Elster jewels I didn't know about. Yay for the author; all of her books are in my library, but this is the best!

Wonderful book. Incredible pictures. You can really tell how much dedication went into the research of this beautiful jewelry. Putting like collection pieces together really helps the collector see other matching pieces they can look for. Incredible reference information for the die hard collect as well as the novice who simply loves sparkle. Highly recommended.

I really love this book it is a must have for collectors. However, the Amazon packing leaves a lot to be desired. I did send an email about this an haven't heard from Amazon.com. The corners of both books arrived crushed and damaged. These were for a gift. Needless to say, I told evryone there not to order from Amazon. I also said I reported this to them and never heard a word. I wonder if I will now???????????????

Whether you are an experienced or a novice vintage costume jewelry collector, or even if you simply just like looking at gorgeous photos, I find that this book has something for everyone. Loaded with literally thousands of breathtaking photos, the book includes samples of most of the jewelry designs made by DeLizza & Elster from 1947 to 1990, including rarely seen pieces such as ear wraps, belts and non-rhinestone items. Since D&E was never signed or marked, the comprehensive information is invaluable for identifying their jewelry by construction attributes, design groups and materials such as specialty stones and findings. I highly recommend this book and would consider it a "must-have" for anyone with an interest in vintage jewelry.

I cannot state too emphatically that this book is wonderful! It is all I expected and more, offering beautiful photographs with clearly written and well researched text. Ann has poured her heart and soul into this book and it shows. This is the first D&E reference that I have seen in which the author took the time to correspond with Mr. DeLizza (the D in D&E) for authentication of jewelry and answers to long standing questions. All this and glorious, sparkling, breath taking photos of some of the most spectacular pieces of jewelry I have seen. If I could, I would have given this book 10 stars as that is what it truly deserves. Now - where's volume two???

This book is filled with 1,800 full color photographs of the jewelry collectors call Juliana jewelry but which was actually designed and made by the DeLizza and Elster jewelry company. It showcases many, many different sets, shown with all of their pieces, in most of the colors available, and many are dated according to the D&E design books. Stones are identified according to Frank DeLizza's notes and some sets names are given. And though the name Juliana referred to a line manufactured for only two years, this book has one of those original Juliana sets shown. It has amazingly beautiful photographs that collectors will treasure, as they search their own jewelry boxes to see if they have any unidentified D&E jewelry. You simply must add this fantastic reference book to your own library.

This is actually about the best costume jewelry book I have ever seen. What's so great about it is the pictures! I love the different kinds of stones that are in Juliana jewelry and this shows all the types. I don't think anyone who gets this book will be disappointed. You will also like the fact that it's a hardcover book.

I highly recommend this book to ANY vintage costume jewelry lover. Has fabulous pictures and descriptions of Juliana. I know I will enjoy it for years to come!

I love all of Ann Pitman's books; she's funny and informative; she obviously loves her subject. This book might just be my favorite; it does a great job of presenting Juliana jewelry in all of its glory. The research is exhaustive; the references excellent; and Ann's expertise is always evident. Her photographs have only gotten better and this book is by far the best yet. If you love rhinestone jewelry, this book is a must have reference.

As a dealer in Juliana jewelry I find this book to be extremely well done. It is a great resource for the dealer or collector.
