Book Description

Julianne Finnegan lives in the shadow of her adored but wildly successful brother, Michael. Her professional life is a disaster, she has no sense of herself outside her family, and she can't face another Monday. A chance encounter with Oliver, a handsome young actor, gives her the courage to leave her job and prove her real potential. Julianne's confidence soars as she meets the challenges of revitalizing the failing community theater. The time she spends with Oliver opens her eyes to a certainty she's never known before, even in her successful brother. But as she starts to open her heart to Oliver, an old crush returns. Gavin, a famous movie director, has been Michael's best friend for years and loved her as a little sister. The excitement and passion Julianne has developed for the theater shocks him into realizing she is a child no longer, but a beautiful talented woman who has captured his heart. Julianne is faced with some difficult choices. Will she choose glitz or a steadfast love?

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Voice! June 18, 2012
By Beth H.
Format:Kindle Edition
Rebekah Lyn has a beautiful voice in each of her stories. Her latest, Julianne, is an excellent exploration of the conflict that young professionals experience in contemporary society. They fall into many traps when dating and finding careers. Julianne illustrates how we take many wrong turns in life, but can find our way through love, trust, and spirituality. This Christian romance novel by the author of Summer Storms contains characters that are clearly defined and relevant to the storyline and a plot that is romantic without being sappy. The references to Christianity are not preachy, but instead show the effects of sound decision-making and personal choices that young adults create in their lives, making this novel appealing to all readers, from YA up to older generations of adults.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable and real! August 17, 2012
By Pamela
Format:Paperback
Rebekah Lyn, author of Storm Storms, doesn't disappoint with her newest book, Julianne. Rebekah's paragraphs are filled with descriptive scenes, interesting characters, and a solid faith that shines through her pages from beginning to end. The novel invites the reader to visit the world of theater...weaving the trials of running a community playhouse with the daily lives of honest, believable characters. Julianne is inspired by the local playhouse theater and its passion to survive economic times and low attendance. She throws herself into a master plan to save the jewel of the art community, The Garner House. Will she be successful?

Like a playwright herself, the author builds her main characters Oliver, Cameron, Gavin, and big brother Michael into a fast-paced, delightful story of relationships, pain and happiness. God's plan for Julianne becomes center stage and her friends become the actors in this story of life. A side story of romance will keep you wondering if Julianne finds her soul-mate...who will be holding her hand at the end of the book, as the curtain rises at The Garner House? Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Julianne November 7, 2012
Format:Paperback
"Julianne" is a Christian fiction romance novel written by Rebekah Lyn.
In this novel we get to follow Julianne Finnegan down her path from a frustrated telemarketer at Summerville Resorts to a successful entertainment publicist at Garner House. She met Oliver Nordstrom by chance when taking a leisurely stroll through the park. He introduced her to Cameron Wellington who ran Garner House - a rundown community theater. Julianne was educated and had dreamed of being a public relations director for the entertainment industry. Meeting Cameron led to a dream come true. She had a crush, since childhood, on her brother's friend Gavin Weston, who only saw her as a "little sis" until he read her proposal for Garner House. This is when he finally saw her as an intelligent, beautiful young lady. Also on her journey, Julianne met Peter Raphael who was enthralled with the fact that she actually saw what he meant to portray in his paintings. Julianne fell in love with one of these men, but you will have to read Rebekah Lyn's book to see which!
Believe me, it will be worth the read!
I highly recommend this book!
