Juliet,
By A Customer
This review is from: Juliet-Remastered in 2003 (Audio CD)
Just got the CD, well worth a listen. Great lyrics and superior guitar playing blended with Colins voice place him in a fairly rare category of artists that can put it all together. I'd be surprised if he doesn't make it very big at some point. He brings to mind Paul Simon and Elvis Costello. Bravo and YEEHAWWW!!

Colin Boyd has entertained thousands in Dallas, TX with his first-rate acoustic folk/pop songs. He is a great guitarist and has penned songs for several big name artists including Jack Ingram and Sara Hickman. Juliet and its successor, Sincerity, contain nothing but crisp guitar progressions and well-crafted lyrics. Juliet and Falling in Love are catchy feel-good songs that will make you want to learn to play guitar if you don't already. Buddy Holly's Ghost almost conjures up the spirit of the great horn-rimmed master. Colin Boyd's lyrics are as witty and cynical as Elvis Costello and Lyle Lovett, and as introspective as Lucinda Williams . Don't let the local artist label fool you - this is a polished set of songs. Colin is on his way to great things. Buy this album (and Sincerity too!) before they become the rare early recordings of a big artist.
