author's overview,
By Cleo Cordell (U.K.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Juliet Rising (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is my own personal favourite.I loved the idea of a woman gaining empowerment in the days when all her property and riches would be owned by her husband. It's a gorgeous romp and maybe a bit more subtle than some of my other erotic work. Hmm, think that's debateable, really. I think this book has lots of underlying tension and specific imagery. And look out for the scene in the old music room - the table and vase of lilies... just loved writing that scene!Forgive my presumption in giving my book five stars. You can tell me if you agree with me - enjoy!

Do you enjoy having control over men?,
This review is from: Juliet Rising (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
I will have to agree with you Cleo Cordell, this book deserves 5 stars. I purchased this book while I was deployed in Turkey and I could not put it down. It was my first Black Lace purchase and by far my favorite. I can still remember my favorite scene (I will not spoil it for you) and it has been around seven years since I read the book. An absolute great find.

Juliet Rising,
This review is from: Juliet Rising (Black Lace) (Paperback)
Set in the eighteenth century, when women were what their husbands allowed them to be, Juliet was a woman whom decided to call the shots. Attending the
Madame Nicol's Academy for young women where she is to learn poise, etiquette and the ways of a noble woman, Juliet learns a lot more than what Madame Nicol's Academy can teach her. Juliet Rising is highly erotic and entertaining. It opens on a lust and passion filled note that continues throughout the story. Readers looking for a story about female domination, and a woman who knows how to use her feminine wiles, will very much enjoy Juliet Rising. Cleo Cordell is a descriptive writer; she paints vivid pictures of the desire and heat between her characters. Juliet Rising is not a book to be missed for the erotica fans. This review is from: Juliet Rising (Black Lace) (Paperback)
The first time I ordered this book it was ok, although it was not an easy to read book, partially with modern thoughts and words and partialy with old english type story line. I didn't think it was great the first time I read it and changing the cover to its current corset art didn't change my opinion and I AM DISAPPOINTED I GOT IT AGAIN.
