We have this near our front door and everyone who comes round has a play on it. It sounds so beautiful; it's amazing how every note seems to go with every other note perfectly. Even people with no musical talent cannot make this sound bad. The feet are cute too. I don't know why it's marketed as a kid's toy - it's a genuine, lovely instrument.

The drum sounds OK but the stand is made of flimsy plastic and was broken in no time. We are now looling for a new stand! I am sure one could find a drum that sounds just as good or better than this one with a strong metal stand that will last!

My husband has one in the music school where he teaches percussion. It is awesome! The sound is as good as any full sized steel drum I've heard. The children who take drum lessons always want to try it out! I could envision having recitals with the steel drum and the trap drums. It is well worth the price!

I couldn't be happier with the drum.

The pitch is great for an instrument at this price point.

The upgraded stand is the way to go.

This is a great musical instrument for the price, well tuned and easy to make a great song with even by my four year old granddaughter. Her 11 yr old brother was the recipient of the gift but the whole family took turns making music on Christmas morning.

Great sound quality. Easy for kids. Plastic clip to hold drum tie broke right away. This should be made of steel. I'm using a tie wrap to hold it in place.
