This is an attractive, precision-made tongue drum from Hardwood Music, larger than most and with an unusually deep range. Most of the tones are beautiful. In common with my other tongue drum from Hardwood Music, the deepest tongue sounds rather muffled compared to the others. I don't know why this is. The scale chosen is also a bit odd (from low to high): G, C, D, E, F, G, A, C. Hardwood Music actually makes their tongue drums with a variety of scales, so I can't guarantee that all examples of this model will have the same tuning.
