Primary Schoolteacher's Dream!,
This review is from: Jumbo Book of Teacher Tips and Timesavers (Paperback)
This is definitely a comprehensive as well as helpful book for an ELEMENTARY level schoolteacher. It contains a multitude of repoducibles and ideas for the K-6 grades. A teacher need not worry about signs, awards, or letters to parents. JUMBO BOOK OF TEAHER TIPS AND TIMESAVERS makes me wish I taught primary school. Someone PLEASE develop a book like this for the upper grades!

British sepllings in an American book?!,
By
This review is from: Jumbo Book of Teacher Tips and Timesavers (Paperback)
This book would be worth 5 stars......if all the resources were usable. However, several things are not reproducible because they contain British spellings (colour, behaviour, organise, etc.) This seems to be a major oversight in the printing process. For example, the center labels are wonderful, but center is spelled "centre" on each and thus I cannot use them. Great book....but a terrible disappointment with the unusable materials with British spelling!

Great resource for the new and not-so-new elementary teacher.,

This review is from: Jumbo Book of Teacher Tips and Timesavers (Paperback)
This is one of the first books I bought when I started teaching at elementary level and it's still proving really helpful. First, let me tell you I didn't find any of the British spelling issues the other reviewer comments. (I wonder if there are several versions of this book...)
It contains lots of reproducibles that will help your class run smoothly and will take a lot of work off your back. For classroom management, you will find center labels, job charts, hall passes, classroom arrangements, and great ideas and techniques. For communication, you will find several templates to communicate with parents, record grades, permission slips, etc. Around the curriculum, you will find rubrics and checklists, alphabets, lined paper, maps, science journal pages, calendars, times tables and hundreds chart, graphic organizers, etc. You will also find substitute forms, sponge games and activities, behavior and work contracts, seasonal borders and clip art, and much more. If you want a book with great ideas and totally doable activities, you will definitely want to have this book in your library!

This review is from: Jumbo Book of Teacher Tips and Timesavers (Paperback)
Jumbo is right! It has a multitude of wonderful ideas. I started out writing notes about what I wanted to use in my classroom this year. I finally just had to stop because I was writing down almost every page. It has helps for everything you can think of and a lot of items I hadn't thought of that I will need. A great book!

I gave this to a friend for a gift as she was nearing graduation from college for teaching. She is using this for her student teaching and says it is very helpful. It gives her ideas and she can easily make copies of of the worksheets

Odd Spelling!,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jumbo Book of Teacher Tips and Timesavers (Paperback)
I bought this from an Amazon merchant, Avenue Book & Co. Maybe that is why my book has odd spellings in it that make some parts of it unusable for me? Such as, organized being organised and centers being centres. On the calendar part, there are cornucopias around August and beach waves on January. It would be a very nice resource if it weren't for these types of things which happen all throughout the book. On the beginning pages, it says it was made in the USA. I don't understand feel as if I wasted my money. My cover looks the same and everything, but it isn't USA-school friendly inside. May try to buy a copy off of Amazon directly.
