We bought these letters for our daughter, and although she does have a lot of fun playing with them, and I love using them to review letters, half of them do not stick to our refrigerator! (We live in an apartment, so it is not the newest refrigerator, but all of our other magnets stick to it very well.) They are a great size, very colorful, and fun to play with, but I can't recommend something with magnetic in the name, when you try to put them on the refrigerator, and half of them slide down and on to the floor. They were not that expensive, and my daughter spends a lot of time playing with them (on the floor), so I guess they were worth the money, but I would not buy another set, and I would certainly not buy a set as a gift.

These magnets are extremely cheap, the letters are huge and the magnets are very small, the letters do not stick on vertical surfaces (which is where we painted magnetic paint), so the letters slide down the wall (if they stick at all). The Doug and Melissa product is all magnetic and does stick, providing our child with a lot fun and educational opportunities.

My daughter loves this toy, she is 13 months old. Everything goes in her mouth and the letters are to big to swallow. She loves playing with them on the fridge while I am making dinner!

We bought 2 sets of lower case and one set of upper case letters and love them. We painted a wall with chalkboard paint and added the magnet additive so the letters would stick to the wall. It's been great fun! My 5-year-old uses the letters to practice words she's learning to read at school and to make new words and "write" whole sentences. Then we "write" sentences for her to read -- instructions for tasks she's to perform, clues to surprises, fill in the blanks with chalk, etc. Even my 18-mos-old twin sons are getting into the act.

We purchased these letters along with the lowercase and the numbers for my 4 year old daughter. Not only does she and her little brother love playing with them, she is also learning with them. We pick a different theme every week, like one week we wanted her to learn her phone number, birthday and where she lived. So we spelled that out on the board, (we bought a large magnetic/dry erase board and hung it in the living room) and every time we walked by it or saw it, we would stop and talk about it and quiz her. Now she knows her birthday, her phone number and the city and state she lives in. It only took her a couple days. We plan on doing this with reading and sight words too. It also helped her to learn to spell her full name too. The letters are a good size (not like the small ones you get at Walmart) and there are more than one of a lot of them, so you can actually spell more than one word. We are planning to probably get another set so we can spell out sentences for her to work with eventually! Would definitely recommend!

I had been looking for larger letters to put on the fridge, I had bought the small ones but, the 13month-old kept putting them in is mouth. With the Jumbo letters no problem. All the grandchildren love playing with them. My daughter is ordering some for her house. I highly recommend them.

The good:
The letters are big They are colorful There are enough letters to make some simple words The Bad The magnets are very weak Two letters won't stick to my fridge The company won't replace individual letters, you have to send the whole bucket back to amazon. In my opinion, these letters aren't worth the hassle.

These magnets are great. We bought the lower case and upper case sets. The kids play with them on the refrigerator. The magnets are strong and don't slide down our refrigerator.

The letters are large and colorful and my 18-month-old son loves to play with them on the fridge. The only problem I think might come up is that they are pretty big, and if you're sticking them on the fridge, you won't have room for much else! I bought the upper and lower case, but if I were to put them all out at once, it would be way too cluttery and hard to play. These are very good for letter recognition. When my son gets a little older I will probably get some smaller letters so he can spell words more easily. The only letter that wouldn't stick very well was the "M" because it needed to be bent just a little so both magnets were sticking on the fridge. Overall, a very good buy!

I purchased these letters to replace the very small letters that came with my daughter's easel. These letters are big enough that I don't need to worry about anyone choking on them. They are just what I was looking for.
