5.0 out of 5 stars A good song finally made GREAT!!
I'd never even HEARD of Jason Nevins until I ordered this CD on-line (there was no track listing at the time), and I thought it was the ORIGINAL CD single of "Jump Around."

I could not be happier to have been wrong! Jason Nevins is "da bomb" (at least on THIS song....) Lemme break it down for you.....

Well I originally just wanted to get the Jump Around single. But everywhere I turned to look it was out of stock.

So what I did was I went here to amazon.com for the first time. After reading that review by the one guy I was all exited. So I bought the CD

The remixes stunk (especially number three, I can't imagine what that guy was thinkin) but at least I got the original. Now if you are reading this don't be fooled by that guy's review. Your better off getting the album or hunting down the single but please don't get this!

I rated it two stars becuase even though I didn't like the remixes I was glad I finally got the original. And hopefully you will learn from my mistakes.

1.0 out of 5 stars If you like the original, skip these loser mixes..., June 3, 1999
This review is from: Jump Around (Rmx) (Audio CD)
These remixes are horrendous. I don't know what Jason Nevins was thinking when he remixed these puppies. The beats are aggressive and agitating. Nevins was working on a silkier groove before (Janet Jackson's "I Get Lonely" remix comes to mind), but now he has seemed to have gone harder (or tried to anyways). Regardless, this is a song that need not be remixed for dance clubs, it takes away from the original track.

1. 2000 radio edit --- just speeds the song up a little, and you wouldn't believe how much better it sounds!!

2. 2000 club mix --- another good version, but my least favorite.

3. Bump & Grind Dub --- BOOYAH! This song is the jackpot that makes the whole CD worth it. I have wiggled my butt all around my house for months listening to this one, and I never get tired of it.

4. original version --- it's nice that they threw this one in...you need it to compare how much the remixes have changed the song around.

I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves a good dance song but hates junk like "Ace of Base"

The three remixes featured along with the original version are the epitimy of butchering a classic. Im am so glad that they had samples on this site cause I would have been kicking myself if I bought this CD. The original verion of Jump around was great but the mixes on this cd mad me wanna stick sharpened pancils in my ears. DO NOT WASTE ANY MONEY ON THIS CD!

A Kid's Review

This song Jumps Around is the best old school rap song. I had never herd about it until last year when I heard it at my birthday party when my dad started raping it. I Loved it! I saw the music video for it and it was cool but then again weird. Please by this cd. The original is the best song but some of the remixs are ok too. Go for the original for one of the best songs to listen to. And remember to JUMP AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this song has been murdered by the rubbish remixs.
It was much better when it first released way back in 1992!

Jump Around by the House of Pain (Frontman: Everlast) is in my opinion just one of those old-time-favorites. Everybody knows the song and that makes it one you should play at every party!

5.0 out of 5 stars I'M SPEACHLESS, October 8, 1998

Anyone who likes great dance music with an Irish twist will LOVE this album. It's a must for anybody, actually.*****'s is what I say. The sound of the music is beautiful, just absolutely equisite. I'm more of a alternative kinda of guy, and I thought it was great! If you live in Boston, all the better because thats what your friends are probably listening to. Plus it goes over well at any party, whether it be an "I'm going to be drunk by the end of the night", or a laid back kinda "getta-getha". It's just a wicked album.
