I was SO glad when this came back in print. This is a cumulative tale a la "House that Jack Built". You can get the children chanting "Jump Frog Jump!" in a few pages. Barton's bright folk-like illustrations fit right in.

The repetition and predictable outcomes were a joy for my 4 year old boy. After 3 readings he enthusiastically read the Jump, Frog, Jump! page by himself! We used green pillows as lily pads and acted out the escaping frog scenes.

Jump, Frog, Jump! is a delightful book for children. I have used it in our elementary school and found that all grade levels from Developmental Kindergarten through 3rd Grade enjoyed the predictibility and chanting in it. In fact, when working with small groups I have to take them to another room as they join in the chanting and definitely distract the other students. At home, my young grandchildren ask for me to read and reread it to them and that frog just continues to try to catch the fly. Fun, fun book. After working 18 years in the school system, this is definitely one of my very favorite books.

This is a wonderful book that your youngsters can participate in reading with you. How did that frog get away-JUMP FROG JUMP. beautifully illustrated with bold color.

Received this book a few days before grandchildren arrived. The book is nicely illustrated and is written so that the children can participate by telling the frog to "jump" on each page. Cute.

My daughter loved this book so much when we checked it out at the library, that I decided to buy it for her birthday. Of course, I couldn't just find it at a store. Lucky for her, I found it online and with a cd! We love reading it together- she does the line "Jump frog Jump"

As a teacher and an aunt I highly recommend this book which is a favorite with the kids! It's easy for them to memorize the lines and follow the words (a great skill to develop while learning how to read). A fantastic addition to any child's library of books!

I bought this book for my nephew! He loved it! I had it as a child and decided to get it for him! Great purchase!
