80s ROCK AT ITS BEST!,
By ERIC GEE (DOWN SOUTH) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jump / I'll Wait (Audio CD)
First off, I know this CD is just a reissue of Van Halen's most well known song. So what!?! This song still kicks *** some 16 years later. And just how many songs like that come around? Not many. This song, as well as the "1984" album got VH the much needed attention they deserved. They went on to have a very great period(musically as well as money wise) in their careers when this album came out. Try to deny it. You cant'! You know it to be true.

ONE OF VAN HALEN'S BEST,
By MICHAEL TAYLOR "SNAKEFIST2" (RICHMOND, VA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jump / I'll Wait (Audio CD)
UNLIKE THE VAN HALEN SONGS THAT CAME BEFORE IT, THERE WAS NO GUITARS ON THIS SONG, INSTEAD EDDIE VAN HALEN BOUGHT A SYNTHESIZER AND HE CREATED THE SONG'S BEAT OFF OF THAT. THIS SONG COULD'VE EASILY BEEN AN EMBARASSMENT FOR VAN HALEN, BUT IT WASN'T. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A HIGHLY ENTERTAINING SONG. THIS SONG IS WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE MOST POP-ORIENTED SONG THAT VAN HALEN HAS EVER PUT OUT. BUT, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SONG. THIS SONG CAME OFF OF THE BAND'S 1984 ALBUM, SIMPLY TITLED ''1984''. AND THAT ALBUM WOULD BE THE LAST VAN HALEN ALBUM THAT WOULD EVER FEATURE DAVID LEE ROTH AS THE LEAD SINGER OF VAN HALEN.
