This hoop is fine for our 18 month old. It's not Little Tykes quality, but it's less expensive too. It required simple assembly (using only a philips screwdriver). I'm not sure how it will hold up in the long run, but for an indoor hoop for a small one, it'll be just fine.

This is a very sturdy basketball set. The ball is small enough for a toddler to pick up and palm. The plastic that the hoop is made out of is very strong. I added some sand bags to the base to keep it in place. But the down side of this hoop is that there are several latches to raise the hoop higher but it really only raises about 6" higher than the first latch. My tot is 2 and he can almost slam dunk on this hoop without jumping even in the highest setting. By the time he turns 3 Im sure Ill have to buy another hoop. Additionally, the way the base is set up if the tot throws the ball into the hoop without hitting the backboard then the ball bounces off the base and goes flying. The base should have been set back slightly further than the hoop.. Oh well...I would not recommend this hoop at all

This was a great gift for my son who always wants to use the laundry hamper as his basketball hoop. It was very east to put together, all you need is a philips head screw driver and something to cut the plastic parts from each other. I used some small wire cutters. I can lower the hoop so he can slam dunk or raise it to make him toss his shot. this is great for small kids, mine is almost 3 and we have a blast playing together.

I love the game of basketball and I brought this for my 18 month old Son. He loves it, his older sister loves it, heck I play with it sometimes! It's a great buy and something my Son and I will remember forever!
