About the Author
Rafael Beer is the founder of Jump Start, a non-profit organization which has conducted extensive pilot tests with at risk teens. He produced a television documentary about his program and, using his experience as a corporate trainer, taught his methods to hundreds of students and teachers in public and private schools. Originally trained as an organic chemist, Rafael is an accomplished writer, speaker, photographer and inventor. He used his research experience to produce this complete program for compassionate school reform.
