5.0 out of 5 stars Really IS Jumpin!
Destiny's Child's 'Independant Woman" became so overplayed that it began to irritate me (probably having to do with it being a movie theme) but between this and 'Bootylisious' Destiny's Child made their mark. Now this song is VERY vocal;the

1.0 out of 5 stars Jumpin, Jumpin, Junk
Why don't they just take this song on a Jumpin, Jumpin jaunt to the junkyard. Listen to "JUMP UP" on the DR. NO Soundtrack if you want to jump and hear some really good music.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great song, repetitive remixes, August 9, 2004

This review is from: Jumpin Jumpin / Upside Down (Audio CD)
I love the original melody and lyrics on the song Jumpin', Jumpin', but most of the remixes on this disc tend to sound alike after a minute or 10. However, a great reason to buy this single is the live rendition of Upside Down, which goes on just a tad too long, but is nevertheless excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really IS Jumpin!, July 30, 2004

Destiny's Child's 'Independant Woman" became so overplayed that it began to irritate me (probably having to do with it being a movie theme) but between this and 'Bootylisious' Destiny's Child made their mark. Now this song is VERY vocal;the
entire production revolves around Kelly,Beyonce' and the crew
raddling off the several thousand choruses that seem to be here
at lightening-fast speed.Even though that sometimes make the
lyrics virtually unintelligable, along with more vocal overdubs,
the song isn't confusing. What most impresses me is how this
trio's producers cleverly chose to integrate prominant
Middle Eastern and even slight Indian-style melodies and modalities into the music's melodic structure without the public
even realizing it.Many of Destiny's Child's other hits also
incorperated the same idea but this unique arrangement and oddly
jerky rhythm made this song innovative in it's time.Has it been
done to death since?Mabye, but nobody has done it better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, October 31, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Jumpin Jumpin / Upside Down (Audio CD)
I admit, the first time I heard this song, I was SO bored by it. "Say my name" had come out, and I had enough of them to know their music style. 'Jumpin Jumpin' gave me an instant headache. Thats until I heard it on CD and not on the radio.

I've got to hand it to Destiny's Child. Their production values are the best in the industry. As for their voices, well, they tend to get screechy, but when theyre good, they are excellent and totally in-sync. 'Jumpin' is a song that grows on you, and this CD single is definitely worth buying because it contains so many remixes, though I do prefer the original version to any of the remixes. I recently saw the group at Guavaween in Ybor City, and they were rather dull on stage, though they did try. And guess which song they performed the best? This one! This is an exceptional hip-hop-pop recording, and a must-have for any Destiny lover. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Destiney's Child Juggernaut Rolls On...., March 8, 2001
This review is from: Jumpin Jumpin / Upside Down (Audio CD)
"Jumpin' Jumpin" is the second in a jaw-dropping series of brilliant singles(Realeased between "Say My Name" and the epic "Independant Women Pt.1) with which the Destiney Children are steamrolling over all competition. The sheer mechanics of the song are mind-boggling,the way the stutter-step beat mixes with the singers' tightly compacted yet soaringly emotive vocals is an object lesson in Pop methodology.A few more singles like this and Destiney's Child could surpass even the Supremes as the greatest female vocal group in history.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Single!!!!!, August 6, 2000
This review is from: Jumpin Jumpin / Upside Down (Audio CD)
When I first heard this song, I was thinking this isn't the best they've done but after hearing them perform this song live in Australia on the "Pepsi Chart," I love it!

This single debuted in the Australian charts at #35 then in it's second week it jumped straight into the Top 10 at #10. This week (the song's third week) it's at #4! I wouldn't be surprised if this single get's the top spot this week!

I give this 5 out of 5!

I really like this CD, it is an awesome single. It makes kinda sad that LeToya & LaTavia are gone. I wonder how the CD might have been different if they had been part of the project...still the CD is awesome!
