nice basic math book,
By Christine Harvey (Boston, MA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jumpstart 2nd Gr: Math (Paperback)
This book presents grade 2 math step by step from simple first grade topics. Most drills have colorful cartoons to attract kids. Stickers are given for rewarding hard work. Most sheets practice adding and subtracting facts. The basics are covered pretty solid, but a bit easy to serious math learners. If your child has more interest, you should find additional math programs. A Houston community web site Beestar.org provides free math exercises every week with interesting real-life math problems. I signed up my son last semester and found it very useful. My son likes it, too. In the past he only played games on the Internet. Now he learns math online. I love it. |
