Buyer beware! Game REQUIRES a monthly subscription of $8 in order to complete it. The game includes only a few token games for free. In order to access the rest of the game, which is the majority of it, JumpStart requires an $8 a month subscription. Outrageous! False advertising. Nowhere on the box does it say that a monthly fee is required to access the game!

On the back of the box it says "Endless Adventures are waiting for you!" but what they don't explain is that it is only endless if you pay a monthly fee. It only allows kids to play 1 level/unit before it requires you to start a paid membership. I have read and reread the box over and over again to try to find where it says membership required to get more than a couple day's worth of playing time. I feel this was very misleading.

My 4 year old loved the first unit and it really was great. Easy controls, bright colors, some great learning games built into it. It really was perfect for him, but now he is really frustrated with me because I am not willing to pay for a monthly membership. (And the game keeps reminding him of it while he is re-playing the games in the first unit! "To continue your adventure, tell your parents to log onto [...]

Bottom line for me is: if you are willing to pay a monthly fee, it would be a wonderful game and well worth it. But if you aren't, skip it and save yourself a headache.

My son loved the game for the first twenty minutes. Then the game kicked him out; when I tried to restart the game, I kept getting error messages. I contacted the company, and was told that high speed internet was required- my dial-up was insufficient. Also, membership to their internet site is required to proceed as well. NOTHING IS FREE, contrary to the box. Looked like an excellent game, but turned out to be a $20 doorstop for my family because of hidden requirements. DO NOT PURCHASE unless you are forewarned of these extra costs and requirements.
