As a fan of Denise Austin, I look forward to reading what she has to say. While I did not buy this book for the eating plans, I found the recipes easy and delicious. I went to her website and found some disturbing information about what she really does in a day to stay fit. She wakes at 6:45, does 5 minutes of Tai chi before even getting out of bed. As a fan of Denise Austin, I look forward to reading what she has to say. While I did not buy this book for the eating plans, I found the recipes easy and delicious. The Healthy Spinach Pie rivals any quiche and you won't miss the fat. Some of the stir fry dishes have become staples on our dinner table. In addition to the recipes, I enjoyed the motivational chapters. What makes them so honest is that Denise uses examples from her own life. You will find comfort in her words of wisdom as well as inspirartion. On the whole, the menu plans, recipes, exercises and motivational chapters are easy to adapt to your lifestyle. This book will help you achieve a healthy lifestyle.

As a fan of Denise Austin, I was interested in what she had to offer in this book. Though I did not purchase it for the eating plan, I do however adore the recipes. The Healthy Spinach Pie is better than any quiche, you don't miss the fat. Some of the stir fry dishes have become staples on our table. Besides great low-fat and delicious recipes, I enjoyed reading the motivational/inspirational chapters. Denise uses examples from her own life which adds to the personal touch. I also would recommend her Ultimate Pregancy Book to any moms-to-be who want to eat well and stay fit through pregnancy. I, like many of you, am looking forward to Denise's next book.

This book is GREAT! i recommend it to anyone who's serious about losing weight. I feel a HUGE difference in my body after just 5 days! I have never stuck to an eating plan this long before. I usually only lasted 3-4 days! I know i will continue this for life. I feel great, am starting to look great, and can't wait for the summer! Thanks so much Denise. :0)

I get this book before I decided to loose weight earlier this year. I decided that is thousands of people have lost weight with her videos and exercise items on the market, I could probably loose weight by sticking the low-fat diet she laid out in the book. I read the book from cover to cover before I event thought of started on the eating plan. I didn't know that there was so much you could possibly know about fitness! I had taked a Fitness and Nutrition course and I didn't learn NEARLY what I learned from this book! I started the low-fat diet at the beginning of the year and so far I've lost 35 pounds! I have a little more left to go, but there is a good thing there are a LOT of recipes in the back of the book that taste great, otherwise I might not like this book. When I eat I like to eat things that have good taste and also that are low-fat! This book has both, taste and low-fat! This book has a lot of information of what is really going on in this 'high-fat fast-food low-fiber' world that we're living in these days. I use this book as my Fitness & Nutrition BIBLE! This is an absolutely WONDERFUL book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the hard cover version of the 21 day Jump Start program two years ago. I followed it faithfully and lost inches as well as toned up. The program increased my energy. I had to stop because of health reasons, but once my condition was under control, I started again. What you get out of it, is what you put into it. I exercise every morning for 30 minutes and it gives me the energy I need to get me through the day. I really love the recipes. They are quick, easy and satisfying and even my family enjoys them. I don't have to buy "special food" any more and we can all eat the same food and be satisfied. The whole wheat chocolate chip cookies are to die for. No one in my family realizes they are eating healthy food.

Denise places fitness in perspective. I like her bubbly personality. It helps me to get the get up and go. I also use her exercise videos alternating with Kathy Smith. Both are an inspiration to me.

Most weight loss books promise the world with ridiculous foods and bizzare ways of eating (Believe me I tried them all). We need to be healthy and enjoy what we eat. The secret to lasting weight loss is common sense. There is no miracle pill or magic potion. Exercise and eating right is the only way to go, but you don't have to suffer doing it. I never thought I would enjoy exercising, now my body craves it.

My hat is off to Denise Austin and Kathy Smith. Thank you ladies.

I thought this book was great! Delicious recipes that were fast and an easy way to get into a physical routine. This is for beginners though. For those of us who have been working out for sometime, the cardio-section will not offer you what you are looking for, even though you will learn where you should be working out in regards to heart-rate. However, the toning is great for all (Denise only uses 5 lbs. anyway!) and I really like the Minimum Daily Requirement. It usually motivated me to continue into my workout. She also allows a day of rest; something that I really enjoyed as well! Once through the book a couple of times, you may want to get her "Last 10 Pounds" like I'm doing. Good luck and remember "You are worth it!!"

Denise Austin uses a realistic and simple approach to getting fit. The exercise program was common sense and simple, and the recipes tasted good and were easy and fast to prepare. I'm 5'7" and went from 155 after having my baby to 139 in 6 months by following this book and Denise's exercise videos. I lost a total of 12 inches just by LOOSELY following this 6-week program. Thank you Ms. Austin, and good luck. Can't wait til the next book.

I was skeptical when I first picked up this book years ago because I knew that weight loss and healthy living were lifestyle choices, not short-term diet plans. I was pleased to see that Denise Austin agreed with me. Her book outlines exactly what to do for 21 days, but she says this is just to get you going. Permanent health means permanent changes. Her plan moves you into these changes slowly and with lots of encouraging words. It is sensible. If you are looking for a way to "jump start" yourself toward healthier changes for life, this is a great place to start!

I bought this book for Christmas for myself. My husband wrapped it though and made me wait to open it. So many GREAT tips on lowering the fat. The exercises are simple. SHe makes this challenging but simple. I love her enthusiam and energy. I feel very motivated and inspired by her words of encouragement and little tips on a positive attitude.

Thank you Denise. Please write more.

I have had this book since it came out in 1996, and I lost 25 pounds using it. I found it so inspirational and have used it many time since for reference. I have found it very helpful.
