I previously gave this item 4 stars, because it couldn't be shortened sufficiently to accomadate taller/longer babies. I'd like to edit that review, but I have tried three times now, and my reiview hasn't changed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Spend extra $10, get the better Graco Jumper
I wish I had purchased the more expensive Graco jumper. My friends have that one and they love it. Jumpers are wonderful, I have yet to find a baby that doesn't like them. However, we have had strap adjusting problems with this one. Every time we try to adjust the height, it comes loose again. This requires us to be constantly re-adjusting it. Bad design. Spend the...

I previously gave this item 4 stars, because it couldn't be shortened sufficiently to accomadate taller/longer babies. I'd like to edit that review, but I have tried three times now, and my reiview hasn't changed.

ANYWAY... my husband was reading the instruction manual... I have a bad habit of not doing this myself. If something seems obvious, I don't bother reading up on it. Well, with this jumper, there is an "obvious" way to shorten it, and also a "not so obvious" way to shorten it. Once my husband figured out the not so obvious way... well, let's just say that if I weighed about about 110 pounds less, we could in fact shorten this device enough for me to use it! (I'm 5'4...)

So, now I give this device 5 stars, two thumbs up, etc. etc. Wonderful product!!!

I love this jumper! Both of my kids got a lot of use out of it, enjoyed it immensely, but also got there fingers slammed on more than one occassion between the large, hard tray and the door jam.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun for baby!, January 22, 2004

At 4 months old, our son was getting extremely restless - he's irritable only when he's bored and toys can only hold his attention so long. This product is great because he can entertain himself - not that his walker, saucer, and playmat don't - but they seem to only provide limited enjoyment. He amuses himself for long periods of time with this jumper. There's also a smile of self-confidence on his face - he is able to use his legs to move up and down and loves that. The top of the seat comes up a little bit below his armpits so it provides great support being that he can't sit up yet. My only complaint is that I can't shorten the strap that attaches to the doorframe to make it hang any higher. His feet are just at proper height now and it doesn't give much room to grow - but at 27.5" he is very tall for his age. We purchased this item in babies r' us - the online picture is deceiving because it does not have a closeup shot, but it looks identical to all of the other jumpers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful and fun product., May 2, 2004

I actually have the Bumper Jumper, which is much better if you're using this in a standard doorway and you don't want marks on the wall or little hands to get pinched. The bumper provides a nice cushion for that.
I was trying to decide between this and the Fisher Price Jumperoo, and it came down to the fact that I didn't want yet another thing taking up unnecessary space, as the Jumperoo seems to do. So, after bringing the Bumper Jumper home and realizing how much freedom she has, I was very happy with the purchase.
I mean, not only does she get to jump, but she can spin around, looking from from room to the other. My baby absolutely loves this thing, and so do we...it's very entertaining to watch!

4.0 out of 5 stars fun toy!, July 1, 2004

I know that these jumpers are supposed to be dangerous for babies, but the idea seemed so cute that we registered for it anyway. I received it as a shower gift and when my daughter was finally big enough to play in it, we gave it a shot. she loves this thing. some times she just dangles, and sometimes she really gets bouncing. i use it pretty often for when i'm showering and getting ready in the morning. i hook it on the bathroom door and she's happy the whole time. lately, i've been attaching toys to the straps of the jumper for her to chew on. i gave it only four stars because it does get in the way when you want to exit/enter a room. it's not a huge deal to take it down and put it away, but it's a little awkward to store. (the straps tangle and it's generally clunky.) the places we can use this toy are also limited in our house. we have arched entry ways for most of our rooms (old house)and must resort to using it in either our walk in closet of the bathroom. if i had it to do over, i think i would get a stand alone jumper so we could use it everywhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars great for the busy baby, September 9, 2004
This review is from: Jumpster Doorway Jumper - Jackpot (Baby Product)
This is a great jumper; my son loves it! He is 3-1/2 months now and is 19lbs. He has been using the jumper for over a month. (He has had good neck/head and upper body control early on.) In the beginning I had to stuff a blanket behind him for support, but he no longer needs it. Like others we have arched doorways (old house) but my husband put up boards above the doorway to attach the jumper. For the entertainment it provides him, it is well worth the appearance of the boards. I take this to grandma's house and it works well there too. We also attach links and toys to the straps and he loves it. My sons jumps and jumps until he tires himself out and has even fallen asleep in it several times!

****Many thanks to the mom who included the review about checking the instructions closer to shorten the jumper. After a few minutes I was just now able to do it....you wouldn't even want to see the way we were trying to shorten it.

I love this product and recommend registering for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, September 5, 2004
This review is from: Jumpster Doorway Jumper - Jackpot (Baby Product)
This is such a great product. At first I wished it didn't have the tray around it, but we connected some linking toys across the tray to the straps for them to play with and chew on and it's fantastic.

Our twin boys are only 3.5 months - you aren't supposed to use this until they are 6 months. But we tuck blankets around them to steady them in it, and it does wonders for building their neck strength, leg strength and balance. I DON'T RECOMMEND LEAVING THE ROOM WITH THEM IN IT.

My only complaint is I feel the device which grabs the door should have sturdy rubber bumpers and a stronger spring, so it pinches the wall above the door, more than simply pinching and resting on the door jam. GREAT PRODUCT - WE'RE BUYING A SECOND ONE - so both of our boys can jump at the same time.

* One reviewer had troubles installing the seat, I did the same thing until I realized what I was doing wrong and it went on in about 45 seconds. You just need to look closely at the instructions and you'll see that you start with the seat part inside out to install it.

4.0 out of 5 stars One happy baby, April 15, 2004
By
This review is from: Jumpster Doorway Jumper - Jackpot (Baby Product)
My son loves this jumper. I wish I had purchased it sooner as he is 7 months old and big for his age. He stays in it for long periods of time. I can get all my chores done and he is still happy. I bought the jumperoo first. He might have stayed in it for 20 minutes, but didn't look exactly happy about it. I liked the fact that you didn't need a doorway for the jumperoo, but it was way too bulky and took up way too much space. I returned it and bought this jumper instead. I cannot believe how happy he is now. He spins and jumps and just has a lot more fun. This is a really great product but it does have one downside. It's hard to adjust to the proper height and get it to stay that way. All in all, I would definately recommend this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Twins love it but doesn't work in a tall cased opening, March 22, 2006
This review is from: Jumpster Doorway Jumper - Jackpot (Baby Product)
We have twin daughters who love this but we have a large cased opening and we knew that would be perfect. The problem is the jumper strap is only so long and our cased opening is like 10 feet high so we had to place them apart from each other in standard doorways. But overall a great product!
