Grade 7-10-This sixth title in the series is a disconcerting, unsatisfying science-fiction tale. Although some indication of the plot is contained in the message of an ancient scroll and the demon's warning that preface the story, the narrative remains ambiguous and difficult to follow. Readers are told that a plague has come to Earth that attacks humans and turns them into puddles of black goo. In June, the only people still alive are small groups of teens in various cities of the United States. Apparently, some of them have the ability to see little bits of the future. These seers or visionaries must be united with the Chosen One to put the pieces of their visions together in order to defeat the demon that is to rise with the millennium. Adolescents who enjoy science fiction will be frustrated and uninspired by this disjointed story. Parker jumps from city to city, date to date, and narrative to diary format. The original premise does not have much suspense and readers are unlikely to wade through this entry, the previous books, and six more installments to put all the pieces together.

This book was good. All the books I've read (Jan.-June) wereamazing. The Chosen One keeps getting closer in this book. Too bad thescroll is lost... And I thought it wasn't fair how Julia and George couldn't be together because of that dumb Healer ! Sorry, I'm getting upset. Other than this, it's a good book.

this book leaves you on the edge of your seat until the very end, and after you read a book it leaves you wanting more, until the last one... its really creative and everything comes to life. Its awesome
