This cut-through ruler has measurements starting at 1-1/2 inch and continuing to 6-1/2 inch in 1 inch increments and 45 degree angle markings. I can't tell you how much I love this ruler! If you are a quilter and make half square and quarter square triangle patches, this is a must have. For years I squared up these patches the old fashioned way, but not anymore. I also love that you no longer have to draw diagnal lines and sew 1/4 inch from those lines. This ruler alows you to mark the SEWING lines, and that makes sewing much more precise. It also has a slot for cutting the patches apart with a rotary cutter without fear that your cutter may decide to visit Canada for the day. I just love all of the June Taylor laser cut rulers. I have the large shape cut one, too, and can precisely zip cut 5 2.1/2 inch strips in 30 seconds or less.

I made 1/2 square triangles the old fashioned way and always had trouble squaring them up. This tool is the best thing ever. I took it to a quilting class and the instructor went & told the shop owner to put them in stock. You can create LOTS of HST very quickly; and if desired, quarter square triangles too. It has basically 3 templates. One for marking your stitching lines; you run your marking pencil or ball point pen thru the groove and make your marks. THe other side has a groove for your rotary cutter. You line up your two stitching lines, and the cutting groove is in between; and you Zip thru with your rotary cutter. The center X and slots are for squaring up; you press your fabric open flat after accomplishing the first two tasks, and then square up. Be sure to turn /rotate your piece and square up on all 4 sides. It goes quickly and is great for someone who likes to knock out a bunch of squares ! There is a wonderful "tutorial" on the June Tailor . com website!

I bought this so I could make certain all my squares were the same size. This works beautifully. This also has slots for sewing and cutting triangles. Great product, especially for a novice quilter like me.

This amazing ruler takes every bit of guesswork out, and the result is perfect half-square or quarter-square triangles every time! For precision, ease, and speed it can't be beat. Always use the right tool for the job and the job becomes pleasure. This one is a must-have for your quilting arsenal.

I could never get my half square triangles to be consistent until I bought this ruler. I was surprised at how well it works. It was slow at first but as soon as I got into a system it was actually faster that the method I was using. The half square triangles are perfect. Get this ruler - I also bought one for diamonds. I thought that folding squares and using the fold as a mark should have worked but these rulers make perfection possible.

Perfection is not very easy when you're making a quilt. This ruler definitely gets you much closer. Not only can you make your hsts and qsts the right size you can also get that perfect alignment. I'm very happy to have discovered this ruler.
