Quilter's Cut'n'Press is two sided. One side has a grid rotary mat with permanent angles and bias lines; other side is a cushioned 1 inch grid pressing surface which enables you to square during pressing-additional grid features provide bias angle circle markings and bold center lines. Convenient handle. Overall area measures 14x21; Pressing surface measures 12x18; and cutting surface is 12x18.

I've bought and returned this product twice so far and they fall apart almost instantly. The problem is the thin cutting mat curls up and comes unglued. There is no saving it at that point... I have put it under heavy books for a week and it did no good. You can see them coming apart on the shelf in the store! The only thing keeping them together is the shrink wrap packaging. Simply a matter of poor quality... a great idea but a lousy implementation. These are not cheap either. For the price they could have at least used the right glue for the job. The mat is also the cheapest of the cheap. It is not self-healing and the surface becomes a cut-up mess after a few uses causing skipped spaces in the rotary cut and mucking up those expensive blades. The only value I can see for this mat is the ironing side. Not much you can do to mess up padded masonite.

I bought this mat a few days ago to get one similar to my sister-in-laws. It seemed to be made the same except for the press board on the back. I began cutting material when I noticed white flecks on the material after I cut it. The lines on the boards were COMING OFF when I cut along them! And when I was cutting with a brand new rotary blade, the fabric wasn't cut comepletely. Since I then tried cutting the material on my fiskars self healing mat directly after and it cut perfectly.... I can only conclude that the mat isn't even. This thing goes back first thing tomorrow~!

The product arrived broken with the back coming unglued. I returned it to the shipper, Joanne's products and finally about 6 weeks later got a refund on my C/C. I purchased a good one at the store.
