I grew up with the Jungle Doctor Fables. My father read them to us as we were growing up and I in turn read them to my childern. The lessons portrayed using simple jungle animals, especially the monkeys, were easy to grasp and retain by young childern. My children are now grown and they fondly remember the stories and how they helped shape their decisions while growing up.

I have loved this book since I read it to a group of children for a high school project! The characters experience every day problems...in a jungle sort of way...with hilarious outcomes and practical applications. You MUST buy this book if you have children who are learning their way around this jungle we live in!

It has been 22 years now since I was blessed by listening to a friend, (author Nancy Wilson, The Fruit of Her Hands: Respect and the Christian WomanBuilding Her House: Commonsensical Wisdom for Christian Women (Marigold)Our Mother Tongue: An Introductory Guide to English Grammar as she read these to her three children at bedtime. We were thrilled to find some in print some 10 years later. Slowly over the years, I have collected more and more of them for my own 6 children. Yesterday, we purchased more at a homeschooler's curriculum fair, and today we enjoy them yet again. There is "much wisdom" to be gained for us parents and our children in reading these books, and they "bring much joy," especially when we read them together. It also brings a real eye opening window to the challenges of missionaries overseas, and how we can better pray and support them.
