Judging by the lack of reviews on this title not too many people have picked up this CD. That needs to be set right immediately. This is crucial Marley but even more importantly this is some of the finest work by Lee Perry ever committed to tape. The Upsetter's name should be on the cover as this is as much his album as Marley's. I only happened across this CD by chance while browsing in a record store. Upon first glance I chalked it up to yet another cheap Marley compilation (The cover is fairly dull), but when I flipped it over I found that it was all magical Upsetter! I really can't say enough about this album. It boasts some of the best sound quality of any of the early Marley releases and in dub, the rhythm section shines like the sun. Bass players take note: This is how to seriously lay it down.
This disc is essential to your Dub, Lee Perry, or Bob Marley collection! YOU MUST HAVE THIS!

...this has got to be on top of the dub heap, absolute top quality rootsy dub. Sure Bob Marley on the cover will help sales, but this is really a LEE SCRATCH PERRY album. It's all Lee Perry dub all the way, and this release is the best production of these primal dubs EVER. It's mostly clean, that is, very few vocals. If you're a collector of dub, don't let other releases, in which this "Marley" material is poorly produced, deter you from buying this CD. This CD is GREAT!!!!

I have been a fan of Bob Marley's music for nearly 30 years and I have most of what's been released - but this was a very pleasant surprise. I am not very familiar with "dub", and I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but this CD is a great listen for any fan of Marley's nusic or reggae in general. I've been duped with unecessary compilations of re-cycled old recordings, but this is fresh, bold, and powerful. It's quite remarkable to hear this innovative and creative approach that carries over today's music over thirty years later.
You won't regret it!

I got this CD because it looked good and was fairly inexpensive. Turns out it is a really great compilation of alternate takes, dub versions, and lots of great Lee Scratch Perry productions. Some of the best BM you can get your hands on if you are into this era and strange dubby stuff.
