This is my favorite CD. No celtic harps or pan flutes for me. Give me the real thing, just nature sounds which I find very relaxing. I have several other "Rainforest" CD's which are enhanced and artifical. I have 3 parrots and 2 large dogs and I play this for them when I leave the house. I bought Pet Music but I found they like this better. The house is intact and the birds are relaxed. I highly recommend it.

Ruth Happel and Rykodisc's 'A Month in the Brazilian Rainforest' is a valuable addition to anyone's environmental recording collection. It's important to note this is not a meditation or soothing, relaxing compilation of nature but an introduction to the contrasting sounds of an area of the world sadly on the decline. Disc three of a four part series, 'Jungle Journey' is a great aural insight.

If you like the sound of crickets and gentle rain, this is the One! For sleep inducement it's great! Maybe the title is wrong, it should say "Cricket Journey" or something alike. For sounds of the Rainforest try "Relax with....Amazing Amazon" or "Rainforest" by Echoes of Nature.
