This is absolutely one of the best books for children that I have read in awhile. The description of the book here on Amazon describes it perfectly. The stories are 6-7 pages long on the Kindle, and so they are not too long, but not too short either for a young child. It is not a picture book, so it is best to be read to children who can use their imagination and picture the story for themselves. Older children who can read short chapter books would enjoy the stories, too.

The main character in each story is Zach Zebra. There are many other animals at the Jungle School including their teacher, Miss Snake; classmates Liam Lion, Tara Tiger, Maisie Monkey, Eddie Elephant, Chester Crocodile, Walter Warthog, and George Gorilla. Each story has Zach learning a little life lesson, but not in any preachy sort of way!

Even though my grandson is not quite old enough for this book, I enjoyed reading it myself. I will be keeping this at the top of my list for when he can use his imagination just a little bit and doesn't need a picture on every page. If you like this book, the author has a second book out, Jungle School Adventures - Book 2 that is just as special! I highly recommend both books!

This is a collection of short stories, which are absolutely wonderful to read.

This is perfect to read with your little ones, especially if you get them to explore their own imaginations and create the world that these cute jungle animals live in.

This is the perfect addition to any child's libary.

This isn't the traditional kids picture book, but my kids read it and seemed to enjoy it. I read it with them first, and I thought it was going to be too advanced. Thay actually thought it was pretty neat to read a book without a lot of pictures. My older child liked the book more than my younger one, but she has been reading longer. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that my kids didn't want to read it again. For 99c, its a good buy.

More About the Author

I have always loved writing and used to create my own books when I was younger. My favourite book was The Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton as I liked the idea of there being a different magical land at the top of the tree every day. Although I constantly looked for such a tree I never found one.
As I grew up I didn't know what kind of writing I wanted to do and so I tried all kinds of genres. When I had my own daughters I used to read picture books every day to them and I loved that quiet time when it was just me and them and the magical world that we could escape into. That's when I knew I wanted to write picture books.
I have had six picture books published to date - The Teddy Bear Scare, Happy Birthday Santa, The Smallest Hero,You Can't Eat A Princess, You Can't Scare A Princess and the Children's History of Leeds. I like to create characters that are a little bit different to what is expected.
I have published many short ebooks for children, you can find details on my website.
I love reading all sorts of books, I find that children's books are far more fun than grown up ones. My favourite author is Terry Pratchett, he has created the most wonderful world in his Discworld books.
I've had lots of jobs including looking at storm damaged roofs, fitting shoes on wriggling toddlers and trying to sell car insurance to people who were just not interested. I can honestly say that writing is the best job in the world and I love doing it.
