4.0 out of 5 stars Jungle Strike
In my opinion, this is the best "Strike" game on Genesis. You pilot around in real world places like Washington D.C., the sea level and I think Brazil for some reason. The helicopter is really cool looking, and led me to create several poorly drawn replicas when I was a kid. There's really sweet heavy tunes in the cutscenes and this is the first time I ever heard of...

3.0 out of 5 stars Turns out Saddamn DID have WMDs
In the 16-Bit era the "Strike" series never really amounted to much. My favourite of that time was Urban Strike, but the series greatly improved on the PlayStation with better graphics, sound and smoother gameplay.

The story here has the son of Saddam (Uday or Qusay) conspiring with a drug dealer to destroy the USA...yadda, yadda, yadda. It's tripe, but the...

The helicopter is really cool looking, and led me to create several poorly drawn replicas when I was a kid. There's really sweet heavy tunes in the cutscenes and this is the first time I ever heard of anyone refer to the U.S. as "the states". Stuff blows up, people look like troll dolls and you get to fly a Stealth Fighter and Hovercraft. Plus it was an early effort by EA, so you know its good.

Loved this game back in the day and still own it today. Liked it a lot better than desert strike, tho I enjoyed desert strike as well, I personally just found this one a bit more challenging, especially when i first got it when i was young. One of the few good areal combat games for the genesis, and other than the prequel I cannot think of any other helicopter sims for this system. Spent many hours to beat it, and occasionally I still blow out the dust and play thro it, although I can beat it a lot faster now than when i was a kid, I wouldnt mind finding desert strike to add to my genesis collection either, as I said I loved them both, and if Im not mistaken (I may be as its been so long) there is a sequel to this title called urban strike. I reccomend this game if your looking to add a good, unique flight sim for your genesis collection.

It's tripe, but the main attraction here is blowing stuff up in a big helicopter, or hovercraft. Time, unfortunately, has not been kind to the 16-Bit era "Strike" games. Characters are pathetic little stick figures, explosions are clunky and the handling of the chopper is sluggish.

If you want to experience the best of what the series has to offer then check out Nuclear Strike or Soviet Strike.
