5.0 out of 5 stars My son and I both loved it!
My son and I started this book with no expectation and finished it laughing. My son, who usually squirms and talks while I read to him, remembered this book in shocking detail. Anything that gets my five-year-old fireball to sit and listen is exceptional. I read to him every night and having a book that is entertaining for him, as well as myself, is certainly a...

2.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Language Model For Children
While this book has a good moral (you should turn in things you find, otherwise it's stealing), the language this book models is awful. Here are some sentences from the book: "And I runned all over the playground. Then she holded my hand. Somebody stoled my mittens. I weared a grin as soon as I saw this wonderful thing. All of a sudden my face lighted up." While...

5.0 out of 5 stars Turned my reluctant reader around..., March 24, 2000
My 7 year old is not particularily fond of reading independently, or at least she wasn't until Junie B came along! My daughter took this book EVERYWHERE with her. On more than one occasion I caught her laughing out loud at the antics of Junie B. She happily told me what was happening in the story the whole way through, and could definitely relate to Junie B's horror of losing her mittens and the ethical dilemna finding the pen caused. My daughter was also quite proud that, for the first time, she finished a "Chapter Book" all by herself. Needless to say, the Junie B series is at the top of her self-initiated reading list. A big, big thank you to Barbara Park!

5.0 out of 5 stars Do you like the Junie B. Jones series?, April 15, 2011
A Kid's Review
By: H.S.
Do you like the Junie B. Jones series? Junie goes to school with new glove. She shows them to ever one. She lost both of them. Does she get the gloves back? You should read the book. My favorite part is when she lost her glove because she doesn't know who tike it. People I think she has the gloves but she doesn't. I would recommend this book to anyone because it is a good level for every one to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review by Simon P.S. 39, May 9, 2006
Junie B., a young 6 year old girl, acts like a brat. One day when she takes her precious mittens to school... "Oh no! Somebody stole my mittens!!" she screams.

At first she thinks just taking a teddy bear backpack from the lost and found in the princilpal's office is a good idea. But when the principal figures out what she is doing he says, "No teddy bear backpack."

So if you are the kind of reader that likes characters who have to solve tough problems, this is the book for you. This book is great for second graders. Most kids think it is funny. Check out other books in the series like Junie B. Jones and A Little Monkey Business.

This book is really good. I think it had 5 stars because it was funny. Her grandpa gave her mittens for no good reason and she wore them to school and then someone stole them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Junie B. Jones Is Not A Crook- or is she?, November 29, 2001
A Kid's Review
In the book Junie B. Jones Is Not A Crook by Barbara Park a girl named Junie B. Jones gets new mittens and they are so furry. Her Grampa Miller gave them to her. At recess when she is playing someone steels her mittens. If you want to find out if she gets her mittens back you have to read this book. It's great!

The book that I am reading is Junies B. Jones Is Not a Crook. Her grandfather gave her some mittens. It wasn't her birthday or Christmas or Valentines Day. This is a funny story.

I am reading Junie B Jones. So far in the book. She got new mittens. She liked them so much because they were made. Out of fur I would think that people should read this book because it is the best book in the world I wish everyone could read it. They would really like it everyone I think will be able to read it.

I think this book is good. Junie B. Jones loses her mittens and
tries to find out what happened to them. She finds out who has them. But does she get them back? Read to find out!
