The product is exactly as described, however, the photo confused me. The photo is the stock photo from Dave Ramsey's website for the "Kids Super Pack" that includes Financial Peace Jr. They should have used the stock photo for the box set of books alone. Here's the link to Dave's Store: [...]

My kids beg me to read these books over and over again, and I love that they are learning sound principles of money management. Dave Ramsey's ideas are solid, common-sense, and fully grounded in Scripture. Following his plan has helped our family become debt-free and hopefully our children will never know the anxiety and stress of being in debt.

Highly recommended to get kids on the path to financial freedom!

I just got this assuming that it was the books and workbook set AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTO. It is not. It is only the boxed book set. The workbook set needs to be purchased separately. The other two photos show what you get.

I was surprised that when I bought these my kids read them on their own before I had a chance to read to them. The most important book of the set is "Chore Wars." In this story, Junior borrows money from his sister to buy a movie and agrees to pay her back by doing her chores all next week. The main lesson is that when you borrow from a family member, it changes the relationship. The second lesson goes back to a biblical lesson that 'the borrower is the slave to the lender,' as happened in this story. Every time Junior wants to watch TV his sister reminds him, 'you have to do my chores; you owe me.'

Another great story was the one where Junior saves up to buy a bike. Children learn that "work is the best place to go when you need money."

Other lessons include planning before going out and having integrity. The books are fairly repetitive, but that is common among self-help stories, especially educational materials for kids, so it's to be expected. The artwork is a little weird. The shadows on the characters' clothes sometimes look like horrible sweat stains in their various creases. My oldest had a few good laughs about that.

BLOWN AWAY! 8.5y old daughter LOVES! I cannot believe it. she HATES reading, she is in gifted class (only mentioning because it is not like she is a struggling reader), and can read at a good reading level, but still is not fond of it. She has taken each book (after her mandatory school reading time) and pulled these out and read them one after the other. She sits and talks and talks about the girl who wasted the carnival money etc. I am highly, highly impressed. Thank you for offering your course at Florida Virtual School for kids!

I ordered a lot of money books to help my Kindergarten class understand money. Junior's Adventures were by far the favorites. The kids ask for them to be read again. The book on overspending was a great favorite and written in a way the children could anticipate the sad outcome of spending money on something that didn't really bring pleasure. The book on work was also very good. I highly recommend this series for helping teach your children responsible money concepts.

These books are an excellent introduction to the ideas of saving, planning how you use your money, charity and honesty. Perfect for first through third graders to read on their own, but you can read it to younger children and they'll understand both the story and the lessons conveyed.

I bought this set of books along with Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Jr. kit. To be honest, we haven't used the kit, but we've read each of these books at least 10 times. Why? The stories are funny and engaging. My kids (5, 7, 9--but we've had the books for over a year) all love the Junior stories. There are some great lessons in each book and we now have a new family saying "The best place to go when you need money is to work!" (aka Mom, can you think up some extra chores for me to do?)

Can't say enough good about these books. Stories are so fun that even I don't mind rereading them over and over again. :)
