I love the designs in this book. You'd have a hard time beating anything by Barbara Brackman, but the designs in this book have a wonderful simplicity. That makes them great projects for any appliquer. For me they combine the folk element with clean lines making them feel more modern. Any of the designs alone would produce a beautiful product even if you don't want to make all of the blocks.

Lovely book and very inspiring. I'm sort of new at applique so this should be a good quilt to start with. I'm excited to pick out my fabrics and get everything cut out and "bagged" (as in one block per Ziploc bag). This system makes the project very portable and I can take it with me to sewing bees, meetings, etc. I highly recommend this book.
