The JU-88 was designed in 1935. It was an excellent plane with many positive flying charateristics and growth potential. In the end, it gained most fame as a night fighter.
This In Action book has an extra 8 pages (56 pages vs normal 48). Models A and B get covered here, the rest are addressed in part 2. There are many clear B&W photos showing the JU-88 on all fronts - in winter, desert, over Europe and Russia. Plenty of line drawings to show the differences of each model. As with most planes, additional armor, weapons were added along with larger engines, creating heavier, more capable plane. These are all captured here, along with 2 pages of color plates to show the different paint schemes used. There are even 2 pages about the Mistel experimental planes (using the JU as a giant bomb flown by a plane attached to the top of it).
Great book for modelers, aviation buffs who want to see the progression of one version to the other.
