Sympathetic Power, November 6, 2004
This review is from: Junkets on a Sad Planet: Scenes from the Life of John Keats (Paperback)
To those familiar with the beautiful, yet tragic life of John Keats, Clark's book is a fantastic read that carries the reader into some of the thoughts and feelings of Keats. Clark's sympathetic identification with the poet's difficult life is conveyed in a number of voices (Keat's and Clark's). There are times of extraordinary power in his way of speaking both for Keats and about Keats. I found it to be a very deeply moving and refreshing look at John Keats. This book is an experience.
