This music is so far ahead of anything in the world that is related to rock and jazz. This is one CD, after 12 years, that I do not tire of. I keep on hearing new things. The music is fabulous. It may take a couple of listenings to grasp it but once you get the hang of it, you will play it again and again. It is full of passion, beauty and emotion. Unfortunately, it will raise your standards and make most other related music sound dull.

I have always been a music fan and from classical to jazz EVERY GOOD music moves me! Now this album "JUNTOS" has been my FAVORITE one for more than 12 years! Many other reviewers have mentioned a lot of facts and praises about this great album by Ivan Lins and friends, originally released in 1984, and they are absolutely right, this is a very enjoyable gem; presenting Ivan Lins at his apex (highest point); his voice is awesome, his guests for all these duets are first class, and many of the great songs written by Ivan and Vitor martins are here.

In writings about Elis Regina she said Lins was one of her favorite composers. Now I can see why.I found that as soon I listened to the first track I knew I had a good find. I can't say that about many. Hopefully, I'll be as fortunate in my pursuit of some good music.
