Cleans the machine very well, but could be cheaper... But, at the same time, the tablets do last for a long time so I can't complain. Works great for our Jura Impressa F9!

I have been using this product for the past 15 years, and it is an amazing quality item. Do not buy the cheaper Descalling tablets, you will be sorry if you do.

Used 3 tablets per cleaning session, comes with 9. Worked very well but kind of pricy but then again, I don't use it all the time so worth it as it cleans the coffee maker nicely.

Can't complain, they work (I think). At least the machine stopped asking me to run the descaling cycle. Can't taste a significant difference. Instructions could be more clear. But after I read them (such a grown-up) realized that it uses 3 of the tabs per cycle.

Purchased this for our Jura-Capresso machine. This was the suggested/mandatory decalcifier tablets from the manufacturer, its a bit pricey but it helps improve the life and performance of the machine. I'm sold!

We LOVE our Jura! And what can you say about these, other than they do their job and they keep our machine making good coffee. We used to get them at Williams-Sonoma which is within walking distance and it's a good evening walk excuse. But I believe they've discontinued Juras there? At any rate, they usually don't have them now, although they can special order. It's easier to just pop online and order them here.

Pros-There is no problem with the Descaling tablets. Although I haven't taken my Jura S9 apart I assume it is clean inside.

Cons- It's expensive! I have a hard time spending this much every 6-9 months for descaling. I did a little research on descaling and it seems I can also use Citric Acid which is the "sour" stuff in sour candy. I bought 5 lbs (80 ounces)of Citric Acid on line for $20. The machine requires approximately 1 ounce per cleaning. At 2 ounces a year, that's about 30 cents a year. Even in this economy, I can afford that!

The cleaning process is the same. I will update with my results after 1 year of use.

Anyone who uses automatic espresso makers knows the system needs to be periodically "descaled" to clean out deposits that are part and parcel of the brewing process. Amazon sells these at the best price period, and I've never had a problem with the product. Recommended

It is difficult to rate a product that cannot be compared to another.
Do they work? Yes.
The tablets are certainly a necessity if you have hard water, and they do seem to do the job. The cleaning tablets do not produce the same results, so you cannot substitute.
Descaling the Jura Capresso Automatic coffee-maker is necessary if you have hard water, which we do. Not only does our water leave white lines in the water tank (which do disappear after the descaling process) but the coffee is noticeably cooler over time. I get the best HOT cup of coffee right after a descaling was done. I do not use the filter insert, because let's face it, the darn tank is small enough as is. I don't want to have to fill it twice each morning. Also with the filter in place, the machine does not keep track of scale build-up.
Would another product work?
I suspect so, but I am too chicken to try it out. The Jura is a tad expensive to experiment with.
I suppose I could use bottled water or deionized water to make coffee with, and avoid having to use the descaling tablets, or at least cut down on the frequency of having to go through the descaling procedure, but deep down I know that's just too much to ask for BEFORE I had a cup of coffee.

If you need the descalers and find a good deal, buy in bulk, they last.

Our Jura-Capresso was an important purchase (and investment) so we want to keep it operating perfectly. The warning system advised what to do, so we ordered the necessary descalling tablets and a new filter. They arrived promptly and the descalling process and installation of the filter was very easy. The machine is now running faster and smoother.
