Works well, but works better with constant cleaning of the tube. If you are making a bunch of lattes at once, this is your machine. For just one person it might be overkill. I would give it 5 stars but after the power goes out it doesn't turn itself back on, so if you are not home you will have bad milk.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun toy to add to a overpriced coffee maker, December 20, 2008

I do some work from my home so the Jura Z5 is on most of the day. Milk used for froth of my cappuccino gets warm in the standard containers but this cooler takes care of the problem. It will keep milk in the low 30 degree area and runs quiet. It may seem a bit eccentric but I love it. The Amazon price is great, about $80.00 cheaper than buying it from Jura. Keep up the good work.

A colleague had ordered this and we both have nearly identical Jura automatic espresso machines. We both work from home, so I wanted something that would make my machine a little more automated.

I've purchased wine coolers and other machines which use the same type of induction technology, and I've been 'burned' by them all - breaking down early, not keeping the right temperature, etc.

I've had this device for six months now and I'm still just as pleased with it as the day I unboxed it. Milk is truly kept cold consistently and it's incredibly quiet.

Cons: If you're a Skim milk drinker, and you wait a couple days before using it, I've noticed that the milk can sometimes freeze up or develop ice crystals. I've been able to mitigate this by filling the outer tank with barely just enough water for it to reach the brim when the container is inside of it.

Also, the tube can be a hassle to clean. Sometimes the suction power pulls milk through and lets it sit there in the tube. You have to be conscientious to clean it thoroughly after each use or each day.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love the convenience, one minor complaint, December 13, 2009

Overall, terrific and works as advertised. The minor complaint: the stainless tube attaches to the lid by means of a silicone "washer" - it's not quite snug enough to keep the tube from falling into the milk container reliably. A seemingly minor fix if they would just make the silicone washer slightly larger. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting. Also, you need to wash this container no less than once a week - otherwise milk solids tends to collect in the lid which will impart an off taste to the fresh milk that comes through it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cant believe it works so well, November 1, 2011

I love this little milk cooler so much that I have two and am looking for my third. The first is used to keep milk cold for my Jura coffee machine. It works very well! In fact, it seems to keep the milk more consistently colder than the frig. The milk seems to last for ever!

I use the second to keep a bottle of milk cold for guests to use to put on cereal in the mornings. It works great and I found the perfect container that fits in it nicely. No more ice mess or freezing crocks to keep the milk cold. I can leave milk out for people to use anytime they like and it is always fresh and very cold!

Number three will keep white wine cold for serving in the evenings.

What a wonderful device. It works exactly as advertised. It also works in ways it wasnt intended for!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Works!, September 11, 2011

I had always wanted something like this for my Jura S7 automatic espresso machine. It is much more convenient that steaming individual containers of milk, even though I am the only user each morning. I have only had it several days but have been satisfied thus far in its ability to keep the milk cold. One liter seems a lot, but once you have the dispensing convenience, it is surprising how quickly you can go through milk. It integrates nicely with the coffee maker and does not take up too much counter space. I tend to use the milk steamer and not the frother as the froth quantity is too much for my taste.
Pros: Finally I am able to make use of the Froth Express Plus feature; Convenience, especially for multiple single cups. I do not hear the fan that others complain about.
Cons: Condensation; Wish the cap was more like a thermos and clamped down on the entire device-this would stop condensation and keep the milk colder; matte finish is prone to spotting from liquid splashes-should be like the coffee maker finish which is easy to wipe; Large transformer block plug takes up plug space-beware.

I love this product and its a perfect match for my Capresso E8. If you don't have the space for a fridge in the office or (as in my case my rental room) it makes latte/cap drinking fantastic. I didn't quite understand how the machine worked when I ordered it and was concerned if it would let me down. But, the induction technology is solid and it is truly effective. Just turn it on and for get it. Today marks 4 days of continuous use and the milk is still very fresh. It'll last many more days.

It helps to keep the milk fresher if you turn the knob on the Capresso Froth Xpress Plus System 64345 to to the middle and it effectively prevents air from getting to the tube.

The blue LED light on top is really too bright! I had to glue a tiny translucent cap to dim it down. In order for it to cool the contents of the stainless container the built in fan needs to pull air through the fins of the induction assembly. So, the fan is on continuously (although it should automatically turn off when the ambient temperature is low enough) so it make a bit of fan noise.

Be sure not to add water between the container and base (as I've read in a recent review elsewhere) . A bit of condensation may build up around the top of the container but that's ok.

If I were ever to stop drinking coffee I could use it to keep other drinks cool. Nah, highly unlikely - I'm a caffeine junkie!

4.0 out of 5 stars Need help, August 8, 2011

I got this cooler today, and it looks excellent. I will wait for a few days to see how well it keeps the milk fresh and cool. From what others have written, and the solid-looking construction of the device, I expect it to work well.

However, I have a small problem. I do not have a Jura coffee maker, I have a Gaggia. I bought this device not as an automatic supply of milk, but simply as a small, expensive refrigerator in a place where I couldn't really put a regular refrigerator. Here is my problem: since the milk cooler was designed to integrate with a Jura coffee maker, the lid of the thermos has a hole in it to which one end of a tube could be connected and the other end of which would be connected to the coffee maker. Since I am not connecting this thermos to a coffee maker, though, the hole does me no good. Indeed, it will certainly allow air into the thermos and perhaps affect the milk.

I would be grateful if anyone else has faced this problem and has found a solution. Is there a plug available simply to close the hole? Is there a replacement lid available without the hole?
