Our top-of-the-line Super Automatic comes with two heating blocks, unique traditional and automated frothers, cup illumination, large 96-ounce water capacity, automatic cleaning cycles, and full programmability. The unique back and right side flush-with-wall-design offers space saving placement in any kitchen. The Dual Frother Plus is standard; the frothXpress Plus system is sold separately.
Features and Benefits:
- Push a button and the Impressa S starts frothing hot milk into your cups and stops by itself (using the frothXpress Plus system). Move the cup underneath the coffee spout, push a button again, and without any delay it grinds the beans, tamps, and brews your coffee in less than 50 seconds...or vice versa! No more work, no more guess, no more messy clean-up.
- Two step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the ground coffee. Maximum flavor extraction with perfect crema topping.
- Five automatic coffee push buttons (one cup-small, two cups-small, one cup-large, two cups large, special cup button). Use factory presets for each button or customize each coffee button with regards to amount of coffee, amount of water, and temperature; great for office or light commercial use to ensure the correct amount of coffee every time.
- Programmable coffee amount from five to 16 grams for each of the five coffee release buttons. For any kind of coffee from mild to extra strong.
- Choose from two temperature settings for each cup button: regular or high. Some like it hot, some don't.
- Programmable water amount for each cup button from 1/2 ounce to 8 ounces per cup (maximum of 16 ounces for the two-cup buttons). Produces espressos or long coffees exactly the way you want it.
- Easily height-adjustable coffee spout (from 2 inches to 5-1/2 inches). Lets you brew into small espresso cups or in your special Latte Macciato cups. You can even fill your 16-ounce commuter mug without spilling.
- Cup storage space on top of machine with warming plate. Preheat your cups for best results.
- 96-ounce removable water container. Good for 60 espressos at a time.
- Integrated professional solid steel conical burr grinder for consistent and aroma-saving grinding. Six settings allow you to adjust the fineness for all kinds of beans--from light to dark roasts.
- 10-ounce bean container. Grind up to 40 portions of coffee before refilling.
- Height adjustable separate hot water spout to produce a cup of tea or to transform your espresso into a Coffee Americano.

Dual Frother Plus: For frothing and steaming smaller amounts of milk (for one or two cups) the Dual Frother Plus is fast and easy to use. With two settings for latte (steaming milk) and cappuccino (steaming and frothing milk). Immerse the DualFrother PLUS into your milk pitcher and push the permanent steam button for immediate and continuous action. Push again to stop.
Convenience, monitoring, appearance, and safety features:
- Two-line LED display dialog system. Gives you short, plain language instructions: "coffee ready", "fill water", "clean unit", etc.
- Illuminated brewing area. Whenever you push a button, two led lights will illuminate your coffee. The lights will turn off automatically if the machine is not used for three minutes.
- Choose from seven languages in the dialog system. English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch.
- Select from "continuous-on" or "auto-off" from half hour to nine hours in one hour increments. Makes sure the machine stays on as long as you want.
- Automatic cleaning cycle indicator prevents coffee oil build-up in the brew chamber. A short, 15-minutes, automated tablet cleaning program with clear instructions in the LED display insures clean inner parts and coffee that will never tastes oily or rancid. No inner parts need to be removed. The display will remind you automatically after approximately 200 cups of coffee.
- Automatic indicator when used coffee container is full. Used coffee container holds up to 16 coffee portions.
- Electronic water level sensor will never let the machine operate without water!
- Check how many cups of coffee you have made. Display can show total number of cups brewed and number of cups for each coffee button.

This Jura Capresso S7 was a big investment but was worth it. It makes great coffee right out of the box with the factory presets. If you find you need to tweek it, the amount of coffe, amount of water, and fineness of the grind are all programmable by the user.The unit is basically cube shaped. It has a matte black finish with silver colored accents. The coffee/hotwater spouts move up and down and raise high enough to even allow my giant morning mug underneath. The S7 can be programmed to turn on automatically in the morning (or whenever), but it heats up so quickly that turning it on after I wake up works just fine. Cleanup is amazingly simple. The fact that the brew group never has to be removed really keeps upkeep to a minimum. I like the fact that by using the Claris water filter I never have to think about the hardness of my water and decalcifying the machine. The unit comes with alot of documentation as well as a setup video and informational CD. Watch the video, then have the manual handy when you setup and getting up and running will be a cinch. Personally I ran a few more rinse cycles, and a few extra test cups of coffee than the instructions suggest but is just my own little ritual when setting up a new coffee maker. I like my coffee to be strong and hot. I was concerned that a superautomatic would not be able to come up to my standards but the S7 surely does. The machine is top notch. I'm happy to say the Capresso service department seems to be top notch too. Through a mistake that I caused, I had to call Capresso customer service and was wonderfully impressed. Not only did I get right through to a human, she was extremely helpful (proactive even!) and solved the issue on the spot. Just beware that getting this machine may really increase your coffee consumption. It is so easy and fun to use, you want a cup everytime you pass it.

Faulty machine and poor customer service,

My husband and I researched espresso machines extensively prior to purchasing the Impressa S7 and while we noted some complaints with the Capresso machines and additional complaints about the customer service department we chose to order the S7 based on the greater consistancy of positive reviews for this model and the features that the model offers. After making the decision and ordering the machine through Amazon we were incredibly excited to receive it. We simply couldn't wait to brew our first cup of espresso. Unfortunately, we are still waiting.
Our first machine arrived with a damaged frother spout and switch. After returning the machine to Capresso our second machine arrived and would not start due to a faulty electrical system. We are now waiting for our third machine to arrive - hopefully, the third time will be the charm! While we understand that these situations occur with electical appliances arriving via a delivery service my real issue is with Capresso's "customer service". Never have we been treated with such arrogance, rudeness, and disdain as we have been treated by Capresso's customer service department. This has been the most difficult and unpleasant purchasing experience we have ever endured. While we hope this is an exteme rather than a typical experience with this company both the fact that the machines have not worked and that the customer service department of the manufacturer was incapable of handling simple customer relations and questions lead me to recommend that buyers look to another manufacturer before purchasing a product by Jura-Compresso. If you do decide to purchase a Capresso product, as much as we like the convenience of Amazon, we would highly recommend purchasing their products from a bricks and mortar retailer and checking the machine in the store prior to taking it home.
