The Clearyl system reduces water hardness up to 75 percent, as well as removes large percentages of chlorine, lead, copper, and aluminum if present in the water. In addition, a special organic additive removes almost all carbon and practically eliminates decalcifying. The water filter measures approximately 1-1/2 by 1-1/2 by 8 inches and works with Impressa Z6/Z5, S9/S7 Avantgarde, F60/F8/F7, J5, and E9/E8 coffee machines.

Clearyl Water Filters are only for use with the Jura Capresso Z5, Z6, S9 Avantgarde, S7 Avantgarde, E9, E8, and F7. The Clearyl system will reduce water hardness up to 75%, as well as removing large percentages of chlorine, lead, copper, and aluminum from your water if they are present.

The only deal on this cartridge I've found is to wait until it's on the 'buy 3 get the 4th free' deal with Amazon. In all the years I've been using these, I've never had a calcium or scale build-up in my coffee maker, which is the point I guess.

I have a Jura-Capresso E-8 coffee maker and this is the water filter that it calls for. We have never had any problems with the filters and they are pretty simple to change. We always keep one on hand so we can change it when the machine displays the message "replace filter". The only other place that we have found these is Williams-Sonoma.
