If you're a Jurassic 5 fan, you already own this album, so why are you reading this? If by some miracle you don't already own it, buy it NOW! This set contains the original release album as well as a "Bonus" CD. The original is a certifiable classic. If you know J5, you know all of the stuff on it already. If you like underground hip-hop that focuses on the vocal aspects of the genre more than the beats and instrumentals (although those are equally good), this album is great. "Improvise", "Jayou", and "Concrete Schoolyard", my three personal favorites from this CD, are all on this album, and so is "Lesson 6 - The Lecture", which is a fantastic instrumental and sampling arrangement as only Cut Chemist can do.

The Bonus CD alone is worth buying this deluxe release. "Ducky Boy" is a great song, as are "The Rhythm" and "Unified Rebelution". Also on the Bonus CD is a remix of "Jayou". I'm usually not a big fan of remixes, but this one is better than the original. The remix does a lot with the pacing of Chali 2na's verse and makes the whole song sound better. There's a lot of radio promos tacked onto the Bonus CD that I personally find annoying, but they are interesting to listen to.

In three years of owning this set, I've never watched the DVD. No help there.

Overall, if you like this genre of rap, you'll love this album. If you like underground hip-hop at all, you love this album. If you like Jurassic 5, you must have this album, hands down.

A reissue of one of Jurassic-5's early albums. The J-5 LP, but with a "B-sides" CD and a DVD including a video as well as a short "documentary," really just a handheld camcorder following the band from venue to venue. The additional never-before-released tracks are pretty excellent overall. The reissued LP is still my favorite Jurassic-5 album. The DVD, honestly I could do without, I just wish it included more videos. The one included video is Concrete Schoolyard, which is the best song on the album...

Jurassic 5 is probably one of my favorite bands to listen to. And I was always hoping for them to re-release their EP albume because it had some really great music on it. That being said, they finally have and man what a deal! You not only get 2 CD's, one with thier orginial EP, but another with their rare, A LOT harder to find songs, some promo sounds, and great cut samples. PLUS you also get a DVD with some excellent video footage that makes this whole CD worth it. Jurassic 5 is a great hip-hop band hailing from Cali and with that anyone who likes or has even heard of them should get this amazing re-release. Worth every penny!
