Ok, I just started this game a little bit ago and have been playing it for about 30 minutes. For the lack of any more information on it, I did want to let others' know what to think of the game. This is definitely not award winning acting, or award winning gaming at all, but it sure is fun for dinosaur lovers. Decent visuals, but nowhere near Uncharted 2 or some other games but I'm sure it didn't cost near what those were to make in money and timeless programmer hours. The FPS gameplay is simple run and gun dino hunting. The load times are a bit long, but I really don't care, I love to hunt the dinos. Story? WGAS. I sure don't. Leave the stories to Uncharted 2, Batman, Juarez and the like. No really good one here, but it does make it kind of cheesy fun the way they did it. I didn't expect much from this seemingly last minute release, but its a blast and the dinosaurs look good and its a bit of a challenge but not too hard for an old 41 year old gamer like me. I do only have a few minutes in and I'll update this if there is more later. Sure is better than Turok. (to me at least, many more dinosaurs and lots more dinosaur action)

Next day update. I don't write very many reviews, but this game seems to be getting such little attention I feel compelled to get info out there because I love FPS's and dinosaurs. I only played the JP games on Sega Genesis. Back to this game. If you are into "realism" and hard core graphics and great stories, give this game a pass. There are many graphical flaws and other low-budget game type of problems and mistakes. Slow loading times are a stand out annoyance, but I'll stick with my 5 star fun review and 4 star overall review. There are lots of guns to find and some magazine upgrades to find, lots of the same dinosaurs to kill and B-movie, or even C-movie acting and story telling. (if there really is a story) But this game should satisfy the dinosaur FPS fan. Its gotten a little more difficult at times but that is good and makes for a good challenge. The checkpoint times are done fairly well, but I have found myself re-doing some of the same mission kills after dying, so, just don't die. Well, some might want to wait until there is a larger price drop, but who knows when that will be. For the dino fan, it should be worth it and there is much more to come because it seems that I'm still early into the game. Hopefully it won't be too short.

Final edit: It didn't take long to beat this game and I'm not that good at games. I do hope that the developers really work at a sequel and putting a story together for the next one, if there is one. I think there is a huge market for something like this if its really done well. Like, instead of finding voice actors for minimum wage like this one, get some good ones. And, gameplay, gameplay and more gameplay. This one is ok but its so clearly a low budget game. Well, I took off one star and ended up with a 3 star and 4 stars for fun.

I am a fan of first person shooters, because I like the instant and constant action these games provide. This game is fun and entertaining. The story is short, but after playing through on normal mode, you can try again on hard mode with additional weapons. There is also a survival mode which is similar to horde, nazi zombies, firefight, etc. Having said that this game is not of the same caliber as the games which feature those modes. The graphics are a bit choppy, and not on par with todays 9+ rated games. This game is not a high budget blockbuster, but for the price ($40), I believe its worth it. The game could use a coop/online mode, especially for the survival portion. I bought the game and finished it, and would probably play the hard mode, and the survival mode a few times, so I rate the replay value as moderate. Overall I rate the game a 7.5, but the magazines would probably rate it a 6.5 or 7, based on the above mentioned defects.

JURASSIC THE HUNTED is a short game but it's well designed and lots of fun. The 12 levels are well detailed, the dinosaurs look and sound great, and the shooting mechanics -- especially for a "low budget" game like this -- are terrific. This game probably had half the budget of TUROK but it's twice as satisfying because the game is actually fun to play.

Yes, it's too bad it's a short ride, with only the Survival mode keeping you going for repeat play -- but that said, I don't think I've ever played a better "budget" game. Kudos to Cauldron for this one, and hopefully a sequel will do an even better job with the engine they built here.

This game is fun, man. It's scary. It's filled with moments of paranoia and fear. The Dinosaurs look great and they are gross and give you the willys (especially if they get close and touch you or if you kill a bunch of them and you see all these dead dinosaur carcasses piled up... ewww) The weapons are cool and easy to use. You can upgrade them by finding boxes of upgrades. I mention that because I found that to be a cool thing to do while out rambling around the wilderness just trying to survive, man. Hey Man! I CRAWLED THROUGH A LIVE VOLCANO! AWESOME! There are like these huge Pterodactyls flying around overhead, man. And poisonous plants that can harm you. Now I've been playing this game for like a week solid now, man. So I can tell you, it's fun and has kept my interest. The achievements flow easily and the icons that represent said achievements look pretty cool (I know this matters to some people, it sorta matters to me as I'm an achievement junkie) Wow! It's hard to see the dinosaurs off in the distance... they stalk you... you hold your breath while trying to select a good weapon before they catch your scent and come sprinting for you at full tilt... whew... yeah, that takes me back man! Oh did I mention.. NO I DIDN'T!! This game is about time travel! Awesome, man! You like, time travel or something to this alternate reality where you have to fight off these pre-historic creatures. Yeah, man... this game is a solid four star entry. As we all know, God destroyed the dinosaurs so that He could make room for us humans to live on the planet. It's great that God gave us brain power to create video games so that we can visit the Jurassic age or whatever time this was via the Xbox gaming console. So I thank God for such a wonderful experience such as the hunting of Dinosaurs... Or am I the one being hunted by them? Either way... THANKS GOD! Great game.Much more fun and better than any of the Turok games so far.Yes,the dialoge is only so-so,and the story is highly improbable,but the graphics and game play make this budget title well worth the investment.It's both fun and exciting-the dinos and enviroment are beautiful.Plus,there are many weapons to choose from.Ammunition is readily available,unlike some other games,so have fun and blast away at everything from compys to scorpions on the small side to T-Rex and Spinosarus on the very large side.Forget about games like the new Jurassic Park-The Game(that game is soo lame it's unbelievable).If dino hunting and FPS games are your thing,then Jurassic the Hunted is right for you!

Bought this game for someone who likes dinosaurs- Pretty cool game and enjoyed the different aspects of game play. Good price for this game.

With games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Half-Life, Halo, and other First person shooters, it's very easy to not give this game a second thought. However, this game is incredibly fun. It's very short, about 4 hours long, and its full of goofy, ridiculous dialouge and over the top action. It's controls are solid, very basic FPS fare it plays exactly like Call of duty. The Story is a time-traveling/bermuda triangle mess and although stupid, it is very entertaining. The game's has several dinosaurs for you to fight and they all fight differently and are satifying to kill. Utahraptors are big and tough, velociraptors are fast and weak, deinonochys is somewhere in between. There are 3 main boss battles throughout the game. The second one being the most fun. Your character has an xray vision attack that slows time and allows you to target vital organs of the dinosaurs, this is very useful. Because the game revolves around time travel you get access to everything from single shot muskets, to SCARS, Glocks, Striker shotguns, an RPG, and a laser gun. The game also includes a Nazi-zombie inspired survival mode, which is basically the Nazi-zombie mode from Call of duty: World at War, except with dinosaurs, however, there is no multiplayer, which in all honesty is this game's only fault. It's fun, cheap, short, and satisfying. This game isn't perfect but for a cheap call of duty kncokoff staring teleporting dinosaurs instead of Nazis, I think we can let some things slide.

Overall a good game. I bought this for the son since he is into dinosaurs. I sat down and played it to see how hard it was before letting him play it. Controlling is fairly easy the only bad part is the aiming is a bit difficult on some weapons since you don't have a zoom on some weapons. Esp if you run out of ammo for one of your better guns and are stuck with the pistol and you have dinosaurs across a cliff and want to kill them.

I bought this for my 9 year old son for Christmas. He loves playing and says its one of the most fun games he has played. Similar to Halo which is another favorite only better because of the dinos. I like it better because of the lack of bad language. Its easy enough to complete levels but hard enough to challenge him. His 11 year old friend was a little frightened of the suspense and realistic dinos.
