Should be a sim hit.,
By cj the great (Woodinville, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jurassic Park III: Park Builder (Video Game)
This game takes after games like Sim Them park and Rollercoaster Tycoon. You must create and manage a theme park that is based on dinosaurs, like the movies were supposed to do. You can manage restaurants, shops, attractions, and dino health. There is some link cable support, as you can trade the DNA of the 100 something dinosaurs in this game. In this game you can choose the entry fee, feed and track dinosaurs in your park, and come in complete control over Jurassic Park. This game should be a hit, in that it relates to all the Simulaters for PC and Mac.

Create your own park of Jurassic Giants!,

Jurassic Park 3 Park Builder is a one of a kind game! First you start the game with a empty park. First you must send excavaters around the world to serch for Dinosaur DNA. Once you get enough DNA to get a certian dinosaur you can create that dinosaur and send it to your labs where it can be born so you can place it in a sercured area within your park. With over over 140 dinosaurs for you to create that is only one of the many things to do in Park Builder. You must also build roads, paths, shops, restruants, and many more things in your giant park but you must have buses. Once you have roads ready your buses can take park vistors around the park to view your creations. Then buses will drop them off so they purchase gifts and food which equals virtual money to you! With more money and dinosaurs you can expand to your park and become a Master Park Builder! Jurassic Park 3 Park Builder may seem like a lot of work but if your a fan of the Jurassic Park Movies or RollerCoaster Tycoon or SimCity or any kind of game where your in control of a game Park Builder is for you!

This game is one of the best ever! I think it has nothing to do with the last two movies ,only the first. I gave five stars because it is a fun game where you have to create your own Jurassic Park. The goal of the game is to make your own dino park and survive twenty years. The game is hard but really fun. It's graphics could be better, but the game is fun anyway. The excavation crew has to be sent in search of amber for DNA, which you create eggs from in the lab, 140 in all. Some DNA is rare though, such as spinosaurus and tyrannosaurus rex. Good Luck!

FUN MUST BUY,

Well first of all this game kinda made me mad at the fact thatafter I moved no stores had this game they never even heard of it. Then Because iof the World trade center incident they held of on the ship ment. Last time I gave this game a review I never got into Some real details. people who rate this game bad don't know how to play it. this game is really hard to learn but once you have the hang of it you are good to go. I think that this game is some thing that the Game boy advance needed. But like I said before NEVER put a T-Rex and Spinosaures in the same cage you saw the movie. But little do you know when dinosaures are fighting (and don't tell anybody I told you this) all the visitors get on the buses to watch. but then again unless you have alot of monye ypu really can't aford to be remaking Spinosaures's. Unlike the move the T-Rex always wins ( and the makers made the game so if you put the two dino's together they WILL finght eventully) The game has many fun things to do such as unlock new items as you progress though the game. Finnaly unlocking the Giant petrodon (Witch is near impossible) to getting your first little compsonigith. This game is loaded with things to do healing you dino's sending you crew to find DNA advertiseing your park buying buses. There really is no definate down side when you begin the game.then again there are two down sides to this game I think I should warn you of ( because I did not know these things until I bought the game) But dispite those not so good things I still rate this game with 5 stars Because You can always trade DNA with your friends and that's what the game kinda realise on. How ever I really had a good park going and then my 20 years are up and it was gone now that made me mad. But still this game is one of the best games I have ever played... EVER!

new type of challenge,
By A Customer
This review is from: Jurassic Park III: Park Builder (Video Game)
Make no mistake, this is a serious simulation that revolves around effectively managing a theme park complete with restaurants, shops, and of course, dinuosaurs. You are the boss, so you call all the shots: ticket prices, what merchandise to sell, how many trees to plant, number of buses, etc. The game gets pretty interesting once you obtain enough dna to hatch a dinosaur. On the positive side, this game pulls you in quickly and keeps you there. The controls are fairly simple and intuitive; prompts guide you through some parts of the game. The idea of being responsible for dinosaurs adds to the pull of the game. Also, it is cool to see your park grow and make serious money. On the downside, this game can be frustrating at times. I would think that younger players, who might be drawn to the game b/c it has the title "Jurassic Park", might be put off by the complexity of the gameplay. I found the instrution booklet to be lacking...it doesn't do a good job of guiding the player through the basics. I got the feeling that Konamia throws you enough info to get started, but intentionally leaves you with questions so you will shell out more money for the players guide.

A Must-have for Any JP Fan- Adults Included,

What is there to say about Park Builder? Wel, here it goes:I can easily say I'm proud that the first Game Boy Advance theme park strategy game is a JP title. It's a very complex game, and at first glance, you can tell that the graphics aren't that good, but once you turn on this game you can't put it down. The game allows you to build and manage a theme park, add dinosaurs, and advertise, then fix problems and keep guests (and dinosaurs) happy. Like the movie, you have to deal with things like fighting dinosaurs, escapes, storms, and even thieves trying to steal DNA to build rival parks. The game features approx. 140 dinosaurs, pterosaurs, sea reptiles, thecodonts, and more. Everything you saw in Jurassic Park has to be done here. You hire people to find dinosaur DNA, then extract DNA and raise the dinosaurs. It's more than you would expect from a Game Boy game, and even at $(...), it's a must-have. As long as you're up to the challenge, here's a game for you.

Like my title says, I really think this game is very good. I've actually been playing it pretty straight since the weekend. It IS a combo of SimPark and the others, but with the 'cool' factor of finding, grafting and hatching dino eggs, then placing them in pens for your visitors to see. Very cool idea for GBA. Downside? The manual is garbage. Konami has never really been known for great manuals, but come on guys. For a sim, you could have at least thrown in a little more info. Overall, I'd say if you like sims like this, or even if your interested in the idea, the game is worth it. The replay value alone is worth it. Especially if you have friends that have the game. Swapping DNA is a pretty cool idea.

A great strategy game,

The basis of this game is to build a theme park, create dinosaurs from the DNA you have collected from around the world, and then get people to come and keep coming back. You can advertise, and even create shops for your theme park. One of the best game out for Game Boy Advance. I would recommend this game even if you didn't like Jurrasic Park III very much, because it really doesn't have much to do with the movie. I gave it 5 stars because I love this game, and I think you should at least give it a try. It has the same basis as Roller Coaster Tycoon. Try this game, you won't be disappointed.

A must have for any fan of rollercoaster tycoon,

This review is from: Jurassic Park III: Park Builder (Video Game)
It all started with a Railroad tycoon. Then the next thing we know, we can have theme parks, airports, zoo's, and even our own fast food tycoons. Now we have dinosaur themeparks. Jurassic Park III: Park Builder is basically a game where you make your own Jurassic Park. Park Builder will be like these games in that you have to build almost everything from the trees and walkways to various dinosaurs, and make money with what you build. It is very similar to all other tycoon games with two interesting exceptions: This will be the first game for the Gameboy Advance As you go along you "Aquire" more animals. I feel that this game will be a winner just because it is for GBA and because it will be fun to see if you can do something John Hammond and his InGen team couldn't: Make Jurassic Park |
