5.0 out of 5 stars JP3: Island Attack is the bomb, baby!
I just bought Jurassic Park 3: Island Attack, and it rocks! It has awesome graphics and the sound is chillingly real. My favorite part is when you encounter a dinosaur because they all require different stratagies to be defeated. I really like the end of the level, because there is usualy a boss, like a T-Rex or a flock of Dilophosaurs. If you are a true JP fan, this game...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good
This is a pretty good game. Only harn part is shooting with the gun. Like when you face off with the T-Rex in this one part the wall is caving in because of the T-Rex so you have to shoot him. Anways this is a pretty good game. If you can get it under $15 your good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun but very difficult, April 22, 2002
This review is from: Jurassic Park III: Island Attack (Video Game)
Does anyone remember the days where games were purposly difficult so that you would play longer. No? Maybe thats because those were the NES days. Games like Adventure of Bayou Billy, Ikari Warriors, Contra, Ninja Gaiden, and the list goes on. WHAT, YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF THESE TITLES? I'M NOT THAT OLD? Oh wait I know why, the games have gotten easier as time has progressed. NOw that we that settled lets get down to business. Jurassic park 3 Island Attack is one of those titles that are barbarically difficult, yet a whole lot of fun. YOu play Dr. Grant and your stranded on presumably site B. Within the first two levels you will square off against Velocaraptors, Tyranosaur Rex, Spinasaurouse, Dilophasaurouse, and Compies. At first you are unarmed (doh) but later get a flare gun (woo hoo?) and then there is the motorcycle level (which I am stuck on damn it). The rapid loss of life in the earlier stages goes to show what you are up against. But do not fret for for with each level complete you gain the level select and can travel back to previouse levels.

Overall this game is fun, worthy investment for those seeking a challenge, and for Jurassic park fans. Buy it today, boy!!

I'm stuck at the motorcycle level(which is like excitebike except there are raptors chasing you and there's bottomless pits). but it is the best level so far. There's a velociraptor jumping out of closet here, and a spinosaurus charging at you there. It's awesome!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars You like 3-D, you like JP3, Island Attack, April 20, 2002

This review is from: Jurassic Park III: Island Attack (Video Game)
Anyone who reads this can probably guess I'm a Jurassic Park fan, yet, I like to give you serious information. Island Attack is loosley based on the movie, but yet has the same action, though it is rated E. The obvious story to THIS game is: Dr. Alan Grant, (known in the first and third movie) is studying dinosaurs on Isla Sorna, the breeding grounds for dinosaurs illegally created by Ingen, a famous corporation. His plane crashes, and he must make his way through the 8 dangerous but exciting levels of the island to reach the port safely. The camera angle is bird's eye view diagnolly. The graphic's and sounds are realistic, and you are allowed to use a variety of items. The game also features the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park, including Spinosaurus and Dilophasaurus. The basics of the game are simple. Use your Transmitter Phone is get hints from the Coast Guard if you're stuck. Use medicine and First Aid for healing, and use other weapons on the way to help you get through(Like the tanquilizer. There is no dino-killing in the game, nor any blood or gore). Search your enviroment and proceed carefully. Be cautious and solve puzzles. I liked it alot beacuse it featured not only dinosaurs from Jurassic Park III the moive, but more dinos from other movies! Like Dilophasaurus from the first movie. I love the graphics and how the dinosaurs react to your presence. I recomend this to expierienced gamers like myself. You could buy it if your a huge JP fan, but I give you this hint: It can be hard. Jumping over pits, riding Motorcycles, or even just running can be hard for begginners. I like it, and those who buy it should like it too. Use the phone for help! A NOTE TO PARENTS: I'm 13, and I have to say that even though there is no blood or gore, there can be intense violence.
By the way, now that I've finally beaten it, several new options appear on the menu, including survival mode, which makes you beat the game in one shot without getting your Energy refilled after each level. Other than that, Survival mode is no different. On the last level, the harbor, you encounter all the previous bosses and semi-bosses, like the group of compies and T-REX. Warning: These bosses are harder on the last level. Be prepared to lose a lot of Energy, and hold your breath as you escape from Spino (again) across a long trip to the safety boat!

I'm a fan of jurassic park,so I got the game.At first I thought
it was the best game ever, and I still like it a lot, but the game
gets really hard it will take you about 8 tries to get to a new
stage, and you will probably get bored on stages that you have to tried over and over ,but this game this extremly fun in my case.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Jurassic Park III: Island Attack (Video Game)
Compared to all the other games I have played, this one has to be the best! Its actionpacked, and even though I like dinosaurs, I have to admit on this game it's pretty fun to hurt them. It has cool weapons to use. The graphics are outstanding. Any dude who likes dinos, and even thoughs who don't, should get this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love It While It Lasts, March 14, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Jurassic Park III: Island Attack (Video Game)
I've searched the internet and read review after review for this game. Ultimately, I decided to spend... to own it.
The game has eight levels, and is based loosely (very loosely) on the movie Jurassic Park 3. Although the game has several difficult points, it is fun. There is a radio transmitter that you use to talk with a Military officer (or something like that). Although it sometimes gives good hints if used in the right places, the messages that you recieve are long and contain mostly pointless or obvious information.
So, what's with the title of this review? I'm 13 years old, and beat this game within a week of owning it. Although it provides something called "Survival mode" once you beat the game the first time, it is no different than the original version. Plus, this game is one that gets very old very quick, so you won't want to spend time to beat it again.
