4.0 out of 5 stars Not by Michael Crichton!!
If you are planning to buy this book, please be aware that this is not a novel by Michael Crichton. Crichton wrote only two Jurassic Park books, Jurassic Park and The Lost World.

The Jurassic Park 3 Penguin reader serves as a companion to the movie for children of the ages of 9 to 12.

The movie was made without any input from Crichton.

1.0 out of 5 stars please.....
this book is terrible, and the movie is even worse. Seems like Jurrassic Park 3 is just a scheme to attract money, and Hollywood decided to throw out a poorly directed, poorly written movie to make money. Then they decided to make a bunch of crappy mechandise such as this book. Please... you want a suspensful dinosaur book? Read the original. Where it actually has a...

5.0 out of 5 stars What a book, June 12, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Jurassic Park III (Junior Novelization) (Paperback)
This book is full of action and adventure. It has pictures from the movie, and is paperback. This Jurassic Park III junior Novelization introduces the new dinosaur,The Spinosaurus, who is bigger then the T-rex.The story is about Alan grant, who is tricked into going back to the island (Isla Sorna)by Paul Kirby and his wife Amanda Kirby. The story is action packed with Velociraptors, the airborne Pteranodon ,the classic Tyrannosaurus Rex,the Parasaurolophus, and the spinosaurus, the ferocious and scary new kid on the block. If the movie is anything like the junior novelization then it will be one of the best movies ever made! The book is 116 pages long, with medium sized words.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book, can't wait for the movie!, June 22, 2001

This review is from: Jurassic Park III (Junior Novelization) (Paperback)
I'm reading the book a second time already. Really enjoyed the story. The movie should be awesome. I think the book was written well. It moved very quickly. Was exciting and had many surprises. I didn't have any trouble following all the action. In fact, I thought the action scenes were some of the best parts of the book. You'll like the cool new dinosaur (Spinosaurus--he's on the book's cover) and old favorites like raptors, t. rex, and the pteranodons were my favorite of all of them). I also liked Dr. Alan Grant. Glad to see that he's back again (he was in the first movie). Check this book out!! Photos from the movie, too. Also I am very happy to see that there is another story called Survivor written by the same author. I will be sure to check that one out because it's all about how Eric (he's the 13-year-old who gets stranded on Jurassic Park's island) survived while living with the dinosaurs.

5.0 out of 5 stars My little dino lover thinks this book is tops!, June 23, 2001
Great color pictures, packed with action and those up-close, personal shots of wonderful dinosaurs? What more could you ask for? O.k., a nice portable size, especially if you're little and love dragging a book with you every where you go (who doesn't?).....this book has *that* great feature, too! What else can be said? Can't wait to see the movie!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun read! Plus movie photos..., June 23, 2001
This review is from: Jurassic Park III (Junior Novelization) (Paperback)
I'm a big Jurassic Park fan and I liked this book. Great dinos, good characters. Fast, fun read. I also like dinosaurs and am reading the JP Dinosaur Field Guide, which has info and pictures of 100 different dinosaurs. Wish I could see them all in a movie! Very cool.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Yet, June 12, 2001
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Jurassic Park III (Junior Novelization) (Paperback)
This book is great! Jurassic Park 3 is easily the best novel based on one of the JP films that I've read. It's definitely an edge-of-your-seat book. The action is intense. The story is cool. And at the end a surprise character appears! I couldn't put it down(well, until I was done reading it). I can't wait for the movie in July!

5.0 out of 5 stars Roar, roar! I give it 5 claws!, August 5, 2001

This review is from: Jurassic Park III (Junior Novelization) (Paperback)
My son wrote this review: Jurassic Park number three takes you back to Jurassic Park with Dr. Grant. He went there many years ago but does not want to go back at all! But he does go back again because a boy gets stuck there when the boy tries to see dinosaurs from a boat with a parachute. The boy's parents trick Dr. Grant into going to help them rescue their son. And they see many dinosaurs in the Park! I liked this book. It has photos from the movie. And I got the sticker book of dinosaurs. I think that this book and the three Jurassic Park movies is fun and has adventure and makes me want to learn more about dinosaurs and see dinosaurs also. Dinosaurs are my favorite thing. In Jurassic Park number three I saw these dinosaurs...spinosaurus, brachiosaurus, ankylosaurus, viloceraptor and the teranodon that flies and also compies that are the small dinosaurs. Have fun in seeing the movie and I think kids will like to read this book because it has extra parts of the story you don't even see in the movie. Thank you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Different from movie, March 2, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Jurassic Park III (Junior Novelization) (Paperback)
I read this book and it has a lot of different stuff that's not in the movie. One really dumb part is when a Pteranodon carries a raptor into the air. Another one is when Paul Kirby is trying to fight a Pteranodon. He would die fast, but he doesn't die in the book. Don't buy the book. Buy and watch the movie.

One of our first real looks at the storyline of this movie in book form. Nice pictures, but be warned--it's chock full of spoilers. This movie should be really exciting, can't wait to see it!
