Two strong-willed characters meet and sparks ignite...,
By BMAR (Northern USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Just About Sex (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
When Alex Greene becomes a laughingstock due to his ex-girlfriend's thinly disguised diss about his "assets" in Dr. Simone Beaupre's romance column, he is determined to get Simone to print a retraction. Simone, however, is immediately put off by Alex's arrogant and demanding nature and refuses to apologize or retract the piece.
Simone's response, and Alex's undeniable attraction to her, sends Alex into a tailspin and he mounts a public campaign of his own in an attempt to force Dr. Beaupre to apologize. Though livid, Simone is also fearful because she is on the verge of going national with a syndicated column and other deals in the works. More than fearing that the deals will be at jeopardy, however, Simone is afraid that Alex will unveil her biggest secret, the one thing that would really jeopardize her career and future. Alex and Simone soon become locked in a battle of wills. Perhaps the only thing stronger than both of their stubborn wills is the growing attraction between them - one that Simone is determined to fight and one that Alex is doggedly pursing. Ann Christopher crafts two intriguing characters who are equally entertaining and enthralling. This is a keeper!

Book Description: Sex therapist Dr. Simone Beaupre is living large. Her popular dating-and-advice column, "Just About Sex," has made her the toast of Cincinnati. And that's not all. Her column is about to go national. A "phat" syndication deal is in the works. But Simone's big-time future teeters on the brink of disaster, when an obnoxious lawyer threatens to expose her. At thirty-four years young, Simone is still...a virgin? Prominent attorney Alex Greene is on a crusade to "out" Dr. Simone as the fraud he believes she is, until he meets the good doctor in person. Then his campaign turns from prosecution to one of sizzling seduction.
What happens when a handsome, large (over 6 feet tall), strange man storms into a therapist's office with the "force of a tsunami hitting a beach" and with "all the arrogance and authority of General Patton storming a hill" demanding an apology? Failure to comply may, and does, lead to many "interesting" developments. This book has it all: humor, wit, conflict, family drama, romance, and a little spice to add heat. Gotta Love It!!

Just finished Ann's book - WOW!!!!! - Loved it. Have recently discovered this author and have downloaded most of her books on my new Kindle (that Santa so kindly brought me). Have read some of Ann's other books and they did not disappoint. Just started reading this genre (African/American romances) .... Why don't any of the books come up automatically when one does a search for romance on Amazon - I sort of came across them by accident a couple of months ago and I am hooked ....

i really enjoyed this book, the way it was written you get a clear visual of the scenes.I was suprised having read other books by this author that the leading man in this book was not like her other male characters.
He had the description of a grown sexy man,but he should have been aged around 21 for his maturity.I found his stutter adorable, and liked his detrimination. This book was a very nice enjoyable read overall

This was a great read! It may have been fiction but trusting men and love can effect how a person feels by the actions of a parent or parents. This was a good read plus it will may you think long and hard about what influenced your feelings about men, love and trust.

I really liked this book. It was a refreshing romantic story. Although I wish the hero and the heroine would have gotten together much sooner.

My second Ann Christopher book - she is really good!
Really nice change of pace story with the cutest lead characters you would ever want to meet! As another reviewer pointed out, these characters were pretty realistic; both were flawed, but very relatable. It was nice that Alex wasn't your typical handsome, sexy, confident guy - he just lost it whenever he was around Simone. I loved this guy! His eagerness and earnestness were just adorable. And his emails...too sweet! I really liked Simone too. Poor thing didn't know what hit her as far as Alex was concerned. This is a really, really cute love story. You should definitely check it out.

I loved this book!
Honestly, it's one of the best books I've read. I love how realistic the characters were. The main male character was not a million/billionaire and did have his stuff together. I loved how he was not perfect and I loved the relationship he has with his sister. He was realistic and he stole my heart.

This book is an excellent read! I seriously couldn't put it down. I love the main characters and the constant struggle they went through. Usually romance novels are cheesy and unrealistic but this was quite the opposite. Can't wait to read other novels written by her.

Ann Christopher never dissapoints. I'd been trying to order this book for months and I finally got it. I'm glad to have another of Anne's book in my library. Anne creates characters that are sensitive, down to earth and similar to people you come across in your lifetime(or at least wish you did). If you haven't read any of Anne Christopher's books you are doing yourself a disservice. As a rule I don't read books twice but I've made wxceptions for Anne christopher's "Road to Seduction" and "Tender Hearts". I think you will too.
