I have not heard this gem ,since it was released back in the year 1982. Listening to it again, just blew me away! This is must buy for any Johnnie Taylor fans. R.I.P JOHNNIE TAYLOR!

The album is just great, but i give 3 stars because of the sound quality is a little dissapointing (taken from vinyl and sounds like a cd from the mid-eighties), the original masters are gone??.
Every serious soul fan should have the song "what about my love" in his collection though.

This is definitely one of Johnnie's best recordings ever in his 40 something music career. "I'm so Proud" was an underrated ballad. This man is truly one of the greatest soul singers of all time.

Everything worked out good with shipping and product integrity.I love this cd.The first song "What About My Love" is the perfectly arranged and composed song. When I heard it on Pandora it reminded me of a time in my life when life was simply "GOOD". My father was still alive and ran a bootlegg joint and this particular song played on his jukebox.My mother took me as her date to see Johonnie Taylar as a little boy at the Dayton ,Ohio convention center in the late seventies. Although I was already a J.T. fan at a early tender age ,I was cemented as a J.T. fan for life.Not alot of songs on this cd but well worth the memories.

I have purchased this cd time after time, only to be "jacked" by various family members after playin' it again and again. This really is the last orchestrated soul music made! The title track is worth the price by itself! His ad-libs, the string arrangements, etc. really will make you cry. A must have for any soul music lover.

What can you say about the whailer! He was a phenominal talent. Anyone who does not have J.T. in their music collection, is indeed missing a part of soul music history!May he rest in perfect peace.
