rockabilly weirdness,

This review is from: Just Beautiful Music (Audio CD)
on this album, gas huffer retreats slightly from the rockabilly sound of their previous albums, and experiments with some odd songs. there are some tracks which sound like classic huffer (jungles of guam, rotten egg, and beware of viking, for example) but there is also "last act", which sounds like demented carnival music, and "you may already have won", which sounds like late 60's Kinks. singer matt wright even picks up a guitar on a few songs to add more layers. the production is excellent, and the gas huffer energy is still there in force. a very good and interesting album.
